I think the 3DS presentation was really great, too. I loved it when they announced blockbuster franchise after blockbuster franchise as if it was nothing. They just read it and put logos up.

For the lolz was the E3 2006 by Sony. Including the songs "how to kill a brand" in 2007. Riiiiidge Racer, GIANT ENEMY CRAB, 599 USD, "cool new features like REAL TIME WEAPON CHANGE!"

Actually I went back and watched Nintendo E3 2002 recently. E3 press conferences were a different show back then...
It was actually fun to see. Very personal with a smaller group close to the presenter.

i didn't start watching E3 until 09 but i would say Nintendo 2010 that had the annoucement of skyward sword and 3DS and sold me big time on the 3DS

I take back all my other opinions. How could I have forgotten about this masterpiece of a conference?

This is what I'm talking about! I don't care for the good conferences, this is the stuff that legends are made of.

Almost forgot how incredibly well done was that year's show for Nintendo.It was maybe the first and last time they listened and answered straight to what gamers wanted by them.

That 2004 twilight Princess reveal still gives me chills when I watch it :P.

The best e3 conferences always come when a new system is ready for launch or in it's middle years in my opinion.They have to sell a new idea and back it up with games.And as for the second part the dust has settled a bit so they must go against the current to win interest back at them.

I watch them on and off, and not even every one each year, but Nintendo 2004 of course, for reasons others already mentioned.

2010 E3. Seeing all those pretty ladies walking into the stage with the (unreleased) 3DS strapped onto them was pretty awesome.
