Why do people keep saying 2014 is impossible?

I was thinking the same thing. Half a year of conceptualizing and 2 and a half of development after Skyward Sword seems a reasonable amount of time to me.

Though I question if it's a good idea to put Smash and Zelda this holiday if it turns out this is true.

Wind Waker

Full Reveal Aug 2001  -  Release Nov 2002

Twilight Princess

Full Reveal June 2004  -  Release Nov 2006

Skyward Sword

Full Reveal June 2010  -  Release Nov 2011

Zelda WiiU

Full Reveal June 2014  -  Release Nov 2014?????
That's all I'm personally saying about the 2014 release, at least.

It was planned for last year.

Also pavo, could you please make a decent poll one of these times?

Sounds abit of a wishlist, but it also seems possible, even that 150 hours of gameplay thing, Skyward Sword was suppose to be 50 hours, so now them having 25GB instead of 5GB, it is possible if Aonuma wanted to have a "150 hour long" game, but lets be honest, nobody beats a game in the amount of time it supposly lasts, I finished Skyward Sword in like 19 hours, instead of those 50, Nintendo said.

The other iffy part, is that release date, for Holiday 2014, but it can be true. The game was already ready to be shown at E3 2013, Zelda games are usually shown one year before release, so the game would had follow the same pattern as other Zelda games. Sure SS, was release on 2011, but who knows when did Zelda U began development, and then there is also the case of Iwata wanting a new console Zelda every 3 years, so everything pretty much fits, and I doubt the E3 plans announcement, being full of SS music, would be for a simple reveal with no soon to be release date.

The plans of only calling it The Legend of Zelda, are not that strange, since ALBW was supposed to be called The New Legend of Zelda, to go along New SUper Mari Bros 2, and Yoshi's New Island. The guy also seems kin to completely redesign what Zelda is, so only calling the game, The Legend of Zelda, would had work, since it would pretty much be something new, after it went through Aonuma's reboot.

COMG guide to points: 1 point = Raging. 2 points = Beasting. 3 points = Tearing it up. 4 points = Berzerk. 7 points = Rampage. 12 points = Burst. 15 points = god mode. 20+ points = DIVIDING BY ZERO!!! 40+ points = Youkai (originally Pokemon).

-1 = Negabeasting. -5= NegaRampage. -10 = NegaBurst

And they decided not to show so much as a trailer for their designs or mechanics? I guess they thought WWHD would build more hype than that?
Skyward Sword was planned for 2010, Twilight Princess was planned for 2005. But they both had significant material shown sixth months to a year before the delay, at least.  It's just highly out of character for the series to say nothing and then go gold in 4 months.

EDIT: I've decided to give benefit of the doubt to Nintendo and say it's possible.

Acoording to Nintendo reveal should have been June 2013. Therefore Nov 2014 seems plausible.

Well, I'll hope with you. I'd like that and I think WiiU can benefit from it more this holiday season than any time next year.

In fact, my inner kiddy Nintendo fanboy expects this holiday season, but my reasonable mind tells me to forget about it for now. Worse things can happen like no Zelda HD show and more like a teaser artwork a la Skyward Sword E3 2009.

I guess we have nothing more than wait.
