What is there to say?  You can run it from disc which needs a 8GB install still, or fully install it.

But what other games have done this? This is the first I know of.

It seems odd this is the first game to do that and on both 8th gen platforms.

I have been waiting patiently for this game for like a year and am really excited about it. If it has texture pop in issues even half as bad as Rage I am going to be pissed off. Rage was a great game, but the major technical issues were impossible to overlook. On that note, hopefully Wolfenstein also gets shipped with an ending to the game LOL!

No misunderstanding...

Most PS4/Xbone games have minimum of MB to start to play and full install at 30-50GB.

It is common... Killzone minimum install is 11MB... full install 40GB... same for almost all Xbone/PS4 games.

Why does 5GB sound bad?

There were games on PS2 that were larger than that. Every single X1/PS4 retail game is larger than that.

Maybe it seems large to me because my Wii U only had 8GB of internal harddrive space.

I though PS4 and X1 were games consoles, don't these ridiculous installs turn them into PC's? At least there is a minimum install! But it's still crazy

I think you're confusing playing as it installs with playing from the actual disc.

No. All games on PS4 at least have minimum space to play... it will always try to install it full to better performance but it have a minimum that the game will be playable.

Wow, did you just realize console has become very similar to PC gaming?

Yes it is quite depressing really. The whole point of consoles was ease of use and quick to set up, installs go beyond that. They should at least give an option to mod games on consoles now then
