Good for Xbox, but I am honestly more interested in seeing Sony and Nintendo will follow.

Not sure about that. Dr.Henry Killing already said it all. Nobody will pay for it...

Perhaps they will follow but consoles will probably remain unsuccessful there.

That said, 360 did have a successful run in the black/grey market in its best years 07-2010. Nobody is expecting mega success, but sales nonetheless.

Yes but like you know it won't be a lot. And I'm talking about the Big Three.

So your point is not the PC, but the higher price tag for the console in China.

Partially, PC is part of it, but price is most of it.

China appears to be free of competition because of the console ban.

But because of the console ban, they've been PC gaming while the rest of the world was on consoles.

That whole MS-Based exclusive thing that some people claimed with Titan Fall ain't gonna fly in China.

Cause those who have PCs will most likely get the PC version over the console version, and MS is going to have a hard time convincing people to buy an XB1 even if it had nothing but pure exclusives.

They have to beat the price performance ratio and convince chinese that its a valuable purchase. If anything, the Kinect seems like one of the only things in china that will be a selling point for it.

It will be difficult but not impossible. Definetly harder than the U.S, but they've got a fresh start and no console competiton unlike Japan.

China has a rapidly growing middle class and even has in excess of a million millionaires now. Price may not be as significant a factor as you think.

There is no date yet... September is expeculation/rumor.

MS just announced they will release there.

Edit - They made official... great

Price is always significant. But its not just price, its value. How in the hell is the XB1 going to compete against chinese PCs in terms of value? That is the difficult but not imposible problem they are going to face in "september". Best case scenario, chinese XB1 games are pure exclusives, tv features take off, and Kinect is praised and the system becomes a companion to PCs, Couple million sales. Worse than US, better than Japan. No way that is happening at 499$

Xbox One games will cost less than PC games to compete.

Less than free then, it's a little hard.

All consoles will fail miserably in china, they will stay on pc.

Read before replying please. He was saying that people would choose PC versions of games before Xbox One versions. Those are not free.

Another case of not reading the post I quoted.

So question is PC gaming in china, is it like it is in the us or is it the whole go to a computer bar thing?

You already mentioned it but PS360 and others are already available on China. Same as PS4 and X1 (it was there at the same time than US), some guys living there confirmed it. But it is of course "not official" but it's easy to find. And the fact you must go through a Chinese's company before selling your console make it ultra hard to gain money on it. MS/Sony/Big N could try, but will all fail.

Well see you at the end of the year.
