Really Stategy Analytics? You're going to go ahead and estimate that Samsung is selling 30% more units while Samsung blames their YoY decline this quarter on flat smartphone demand?

Either Strategy Analytics is full of crap — which has been suggested before — or Samsung's ASP is utterly collapsing under the weight of Chinese competition.

Sony and Nokia both have relatively low recognition outside of Europe (and Japan as well for Sony).

Hello there folks! The reason behind is pretty clear to me… Samsung devices are way cheaper than high-end smartphones like the iPhone. They are also accessible in a larger number of stores and people are lured by their resemblance to expensive phones! This is actually sad as it was proved as part of the Samsung vs. Apple trial that Android phones only got touchscreens after the initial iPhones were delivered.
