Forums - Gaming - China Releases Video Game Console Censorship Guidelines

Seems like a good idea for Sony to let Microsoft launch in China first. If turns out to be disaster they can afford it.

I haven't read all of this... but am I to assume that GTA may have a problem?

the list in the OP is fact,.. how (strickly) china will interpret them is unknown.    but i would speculate that yes, GTA would have a problem.  from what i read (in another article) each and every game has to recieve approval (a 20 day process).

So pretty much just E rated games lol.

So Nintendo should have no issue. :) This pleases me.

Do 3D World's slot machines count as promoting gambling?

Rusty's Real Deal Baseball will be forbidden for sure, lol.

someplace worse than EU and Australia rules. yeah fuck that place.

If Nintendo could release games when there was a ban, I'm sure they would have no problem now.

Nintendo will have no problem to release its most of its games library in China.

Drug use, Stalinism, animal cruelty, promotion of hereditary royalty, and Italian stereotypes. And that's just the Mario games.

Pokemon has animal cruelty, gambling, drug use and promotion of incest too. The Vita is going to have a field day...

Ooooh, good for Nintendo then! :D

Xbox One releasing first in China will turn the tides of the console war. There will still be great exclusives like Forza and Kinect Sports Rivals and with over 1 billion consumers the One will sell like crazy. Calling it now.

8th generation console totals prediction

Xbox One-95 million
Wii U-15 million

playstation 4-70 million
