I love 3DS, but what I love so much about it is being able to digitally download my games. More so than home consoles, handheld consoles seem made to be all digital. I think that when Nintendo's next handheld comes out, it will be digital only or at least debut with two models, one with no physical slot. Physical media is dying, and I think the next handheld with take note of that.

Probably not but I would rather have a Nintendo handheld be all digital than any other handheld, thats for sure cause Nintendo uses a standard SDcard which saves sooo much money!

But of course, they do have a lot of work ahead of them, biggest one being accounts not being tide to handhelds and region lock but apart from that, maybe cause I still like the box art and goodies loll

Well Sony tried it out with PSP Go, that didn't turn out too well. I don't know if the general public is ready yet, even with the advent of smartphones whih obviously takes this approach. But early mobile games was popular and digital-only in the GB days, and yet here we are in 2014, and 3DS games are still selling well to a degree.

Also I live in Australia, we still ride kangaroos and emus around. Stuff like cars and trains are still really expensive and a rarity here. Only wealthy families and people who live near idiots who forget to put a password on their internet have the internet here.

The PSP Go was released at the end of the PSP's life cycle in 2009. This won't come out until at least the end of 2016. The PSP Go didn't fail just because it was digital only. The general public is more than ready.

Compared to all other consoles I put more money into the 3DS eShop than anywhere else.
Though that's it for download only games, I only have 2 retail games as download titles.

A digital only console would be a no from me, but they could do it with a special version like how the 2DS is to the 3DS.

If that would be the case I will def not buy the console.

I actually hate digital stuff because I pay with real money for imaginary stuff. There is way to many restrictions in the digital world. If a game would cost 5 bucks and would offer 20h of gameplay like AAA titles on steam that are 90% a year after release I would buy the console but as long as i have to pay more than 20 bucks for a game thats digital its not worth my money.

I also dont like DLC nor do I care about dick size comparing (leaderboards and matchmaking) or stuff like Bayonetta's or Luigi's Mansion's "you finished this level in XX minutes GOLD MEDAL" This is totally distracting and is destroying the immersion of a fantasy world for me. It offers NO value for me at all.

I rarely play with strangers etc. I am an old school gamer. I like to actually own the stuff I buy and collect the games. (I do have 500+ games on steam but only because those are games I dont really care about mostly third party games I bought for like 5 bucks. Nothing that will be a classic in 20 years etc.)

I don't think so, at least, not quite. I think you'll be able to download games to the handheld from a hub unit.
