Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Did you buy wii because of price or is it just better?

I'm doing a survey of how many people just bought wii because its cheaper than the other consoles, and how many bought it because its awseome. Please post your answer a,b, or c. Please no spam.

I wouldn't necessarily call it "better". But it was the better choice for me as it had the games I want without paying extra for features I didn't care about.

c) For the games...

By me:

"Since you can´t understand ... there is no point to taking you seriously."

better is always subjective, but I bought it because I wanted a wii instead of a PS3 or a 360. I had the money for a 360 or PS3, getting a wii was actually far more difficult than getting either of the other two, I just wanted a wii for it's games. I guess that counts as a "b", but only from my own opinion.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I bought a Wii because my kids wanted it and it looked very promising.

Price was not a factor. My kids don't like it that much now. I never play on it.

D) All of thee above.

The Nintendo name on the box really does sell the console to me.

D) because its a different gaming experience form any console ever made

( c ) -- it offered the games I really wanted to play. Don't get me wrong, there are games I would like to play, and that I do like to play on other systems, but the Wii was the only system that I absolutely had to have.

As far as the other systems are concerned I would *also* own them if it wasn't for specific reasons:

Xbox 360: Reliability problems

PS3: No "must have" games for me, high price.  I'd buy one at $400 if it had at least two games I *really* wanted and had PS2 backward compatibility.

Both.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
