And that's why it will sell systems. The most MLB core fans didn't bought a PS4 yet. It is just one more game to sell systems, a BIG system seller? No. But it is a system seller without any doubt. Any first sports game on next gen consoles will sell systems for it.
Doesn't matter what you think abut that particular sport. For me American Football is really bad, you agree ? Obviously not.
Can everyone just shut up about MLB The Show now? I'm sick and tired of Chris Hu repeating himself over and over and over and over again. Just wow.
PS4 will have a good year ahead from here on so long as the multiplats remain superior and its price the same or 100 dollars less as it is now

I grew up in Germany where associtation football ruled but once I started the watching amercian football I was hooked the same applies to basketball. Baseball I don't really care about and its populartiy is highly overblown as a matter of fact outside New York, Boston and St Louis its not really a big deal. I live in the DFW area now and here the Cowboys (NFL), high school football (american type), The Maveriks (NBA) are all a bigger deals then the Rangers (baseball) as a matter of fact there are probably also more college football fans in my area then baseball fans.

I guess you can't handle the truth either the fact remains MLB The Show isn't a system seller or a big deal.

Yes I don't care about baseball too. I like to watch the NBA and Fooball(soccer). In terms of sport games only soccer it's the one that I play. But that doesn't mean that there is a Baseball fan base that will buy every MLB game.
I said that MLB is a system seller for that particular community, not for us obviously. To conclude, multiple small system sellers always win against one big system seller. You can take wiiU as example, probably all Nintendo games are the biggest system sellers out there. That will make wiiU win the war ? No it won't!
The Wii U not selling a lot acutally is a good thing Nintendo needs to make some new IP's ASAP.
Well, This thread is a mess...
Adressing the op, while I do think that the ps4 will in fact have a good year, I think your points are very weak. Two multiplats, a port, and an exclusive that may not even release this year are not the best arguments for hardware dominance. Im sure we will have a better idea as to what games sony will be focusing on after e3, but as of right now, the biggest reason sony is going to have a good year in respect to the xbox one is simply that it is cheaper and more powerful....

College football isn't a sport by itself, it's just Football only for states / cities that don't have a NFL team. Is basketball more popular than baseball? Seems pretty even, but you may be right. In terms of video games, yes NBA2K is certainly more popular than The Show.
The Show might give PS4 a small bump in the USA the week it releases, so technically it will sell systems, but it won't cause a lift in baseline sales over a period of weeks. Most franchises cause a HW bump for their first release on a new console. OTOH The Show is already out on PS3 and PSV, so that's going to have a dampening effect on the PS4 version. If Sony had released the PS4 version a few weeks ahead of PS3 version it would have done more to help PS4 sales. Now that it's behind the PS3 release the effect will be greatly diminished.
