If you look at the top 50 of PSP software you see that there are no equivalents released for any of those games on Vita except 5 (LBP, CoD, Hot Shots, Lumines,FiFa). If Sony wanted Vita to do well securing more would have been on their list of priorities. Only 10% of those titles and only 10% of PSP's sales hmmm. The saddest thing is they didn't even try to get their own franchises that sold well on PSP onto PSV. If Sony doesn't want to put in any kind of work the system wont sell and deservedly so. I think GT6 and GoWA would have still been compared to PS3 games and rated low irrespective cause that is what reviewers do to all Vita's games that come from existing franchises. Though the unique iterations probably would have helped sales even if they weren't reviewed as well.

Though you do have a point, I really think that saying that they didn't try is simply wrong. Didn't try hard enough.... maybe.
They gave us Gravity Rush, Tearaway, LBP, Uncharted at launch!, Wipeout (ok not that popular, but still), that golf game, Resistance, Killzone, Sky Cooper 4(?), several ports of collections and in a few days GOW collection. They even made Soul Sacrifice, due to the lack of Monster Hunter, which they promoted quite a bit. Now they're releasing Freedom Wars, which looks promising and may be considered an answer to Monster Hunter as well. They obviously tried. Sure, they should have done more, but saying that they let it out to die is just wrong. Many wrong decisions, but seeing them getting a team to make (e.g. COD)/port (Mickey game) games to vita shows an effort to help it succeed.
