Forums - General - Batman: The Dark Knight get the anime treatment (footage)

"Batman: Gotham knight will come out when Batman: The Dark Knight hits the big screen."

"The direct-to-DVD Batman anime is similar to The Animatrix, the DVD which tied in with Matrix sequels. Warners is also working on a version called Termination in tandem with Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. The segments are written by Josh Olson, David Goyer, Brian Azzarello, Greg Rucka, Jordan Goldberg, and Alan Burnett."

I did like the Animatrix more than just a cash in and The Matrix sequals were very dissapointing anyway.  I hope these Batman ones are equally as good, not sure about The Terminator ones though.

Footage is mainly interviews with short clips of the animation.

Looks incredible. I can't wait to see it, and I agree with one of the comments on the website, a JLU anime would be very interesting as well.

..........an animated Batman? So crazy, it just might work!

Joke right? The WB animated Batman series was AWESOME!!!! It even stands the test of time.

Anyway, we've got a VERY good director, Christopher Nolan, which imo, has never made a film that wasn't great, with five of the best actors ever to grace the silver screen, Oldman, Bale, Freeman, Cain, Ledger who for all intents and purposes are happy, and enjoy working with each other, working under the best reviewed screenplay of the last 2 years, and coming off an excellent first attempt.

We've seen movies go bad before, but when all the actors are literally raving about how much better the movie is than they expected, which has gotta be fantastic, considering Nolan worked on it.

Basically, you've got a dream team of actors, the best new director in hollywood, hype out the wazoo, and a script that an indie company would kill for. 3/4 star movie minimum.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I was joking Zen! I've been watching animated Batman since the '80s! I still record the animated 90's cartoon. I saw Mask of the Phantam in theaters, and I don't think WB's "The Batman" sucks! I love the Dark Knight!
