Well Mt. Gox was a setback obviously because the price plummeted after that but they recovered about 200000 BTC again and also I think the concept of BTC is pretty good and there will always be a demand for something like it..  which is why I am pretty sure that cryptos are here to stay for good. Even if the price goes down again cryptos cant be forged and you can send them in seconds from one place to the other without major fees and ofcourse nobody can control it which is why states like China and Russia dont like it very much. BTC wont die its too useful for that
