Infamous is great, its the worst of the series though.

I have PS+.  There are great games on PS3, but the PS4 you're not missing much...at all...

Starcraft, you're no fan of the PS4. Your preference was never on PS consoles. So you can't give him good advise in this matter, as is appearent.

Why am I no better placed than anyone else to give advice?

I own both, neither currently has a strong gaming library at all.  PS+ currently has no great games at all on PS4, and there is no games with gold yet on X1.

Further, my advice is right in line with opinion pieces all over the internet, including on this site - just yesterday!

PS+ currently has no great games? It has had Resogun, Outlast, Don't Starve etc.

All GREAT GAMES. Geez your standards are too high if you think those are not great games.

Outlast and Don't Starve are decent games, not great games, and they both released on PC last year.

Resogun is a great game, but one does not buy a $400 console and a $60 subscription to have access to a small indie title - no matter how great it is.  Also, I don't know about the US but in Australia you can no longer get Resogun on PS+ if you didn't own a PS4 when it went up for free.

For the most part, I think your post proved my point...

You don't even know how PS Plus works.

You can add the games to your download cart, even if you dont have the console for it. If you were a PS Plus subscriber, then you could add the PS4 games to your download list through your PS3. If you had just recently bought a PS4, and were dling all the PS Plus games through your PS3, you would have 10-15 quality games (including the F2P ones) that you would have the ability to play.

The fact that you expect games that match TLOU or Halo 4 in quality from a console that's only a couple months old, is ridiculous.

Did you forget with the PS3/360 it took a couple years to actually get a constant stream of high quality games?

I do know how the product works.  But I did not have PS+ until I purchased a PS4 - so I could not simply add the PS4 games to anything.  If the OP really is a lifelong Xbox gamer, he won't be able too either.

You have entirely (and I suspect deliberately) missed what I have said.  At this point neither console has sufficient high quality titles to justify such a large financial outlay for gaming alone.  And if it is the OP's sense that there are insufficient games of high quality available for his Xbox One, he will likely have the same sense having spent even more money on the PS4.

I know full well that both consoles will get a multitude of astounding games eventually - but neither of them have them now.

I guess you must have missed his signature then.

Unless that's just some made up account, he's had a PS3 for a VERY long time.

So have I, around 5 years.

But the OP has explicitely stated that he does not yet have PS+.

So the point is entirely moot.  Even moreseo because for most people one great indie is not worth buying a new console early in a cycle.  The point I have been making throughout this thread is that the exact feeling the OP has about the X1 is likely to be replicated after his purchase of a PS4.

So you've had an Xbox One for 5 months but not one achievement on Xbox One? lol oooook then. Whats the point of lying about it?

He's gotta be telling the truth.  The PS4 is beating the Xbox One in sales, value, and power.  The popular opinion is that it has the better controller and better games are coming (If not already here).  There's no reason for a Sony fan to attack the Xbox One because it's not a threat to them anymore......is it?

Look at my signature, my gamertag has an Xbox One avatar, it can only be set from an Xbox One and i had COD: Ghosts and Forza 5. Xbox One games aren't displayed on Xbox.com as well as friends you add from XOne instead of X360.

Probably Microsoft will Update this stuff soon.

Here's a screen capture from my Xbox Live account signed in true achievements searching in my game collection with the platform filter
