A lot of you guys are missing the point. The issue isn't that we aren't ever going to get any indie games. The issue is that every single one of those games was originally supposed to be out by the end of March, but every one has been delayed, which is bullshit. If it was just a small handful of indies, it would be understandable. Quality first, but not when that's the issue with 90% of the games coming out.

and this is Nintendo fault because....?

I don't think he understands what "indie" means.

No - if it was a few here and there then it is an individual indy issue - but when it is nearly all of them then logic and objectivity saysis a systematic issue -   The bottleneck is prob Nintendo - why would tat surprise anyone - even the biggest of fanboys?

Not really... Indie games generally don't have release dates...

because indie developers are well... generally new and small developers who never make dates when they set them, unless they set the date way at the backend of production.

Really if Nintendo is at fault, it would be because they pushed developers to announce/announced games themselves with release dates.  (If that is even something they did.)

some of these games still wasn`t release on PS4/Vita, by your logic I can say the bottlenecked is Sony

The bottleneck comes from the developers. In their excitement to be among the first games on new platforms,  they've set aggressive ship dates they couldn't meet.

1 or 2 here and there- ok  but not most or all of them-  I don t think so

Like I said before nintendo fans should be used to getting only about 4-5 games a year

They all live permanently in sizzle reels, like a sort of limbo.

In 2010 I bought 11 Wii games that came out that year.

In 2009, 8.

In 2008, 8 also.

This wasn't always a problem.

Well I've >30 Wii U games. Quite clearly I've had it for the best part of a decade and come back in time through a wormhole to gloat.

Half Life 3 is amazing, but no one bought it because it was Ouya exclusive.

im glad they are not around I hate indy games lol.

Why's that? More games are a good thing.

no physical media no buy. NIntendo shoudl fricken get smart and release compilation discs best of 2013 best of 2014. Then give majority of the profits to the indies.

Because he only likes the large conglomerates who dictate prices and make the same games over and over. Why else? Coming soon, Call of Duty: New colored guns. Look at the rubbish EA published on the Wii U. Unplayable trash with jumpy frame rate. Hand me a game like Abe New N'Tasty anyday over some EA recycled junk.

uh no i just hate digital on consoles. I think it is a scam. Once a gen ends and my hardware dies i can't redownlaod it cause well you know the services are down or the game has been taken down.

Steam is were I can kind of accept digital because it doesn't rely on specific hardware just your pc. I can upgrade it how I want when I want and be able to redownload my purchases. I can even have a low powered machine for my 90s and 00s games and a beefier one for my 2010s games and steam won't block me running on both.

And if Steam goes out of Business in this ifetime we will both have a problem there too. I agree that digital can be a pain in the ass, but seriously, dissing small developers of games isn't going to do anything but make the games industry a boring place with nothing but call of duty and kill zone to play for the rest of your life.

steam wont go out of business and if it does it will be because valve did somehting stupid with their money on other projects. In the even it does go, I reckon the rest of the industry will be puttin gin bids to buy it during the administration sale.

Wow. You're not going to be a gamer for much longer then eh? Physical media is slowly on it's way out. Major numbers of sales are happening digitally. As long as you stick with PS4 or Wii U then you can keep all the games on HD's if you are really worried about it.

I don't mind the idea of the best of compilation, but who is going to publish it? It's a bit of a risk and there is loads of cost to go with publishing and distrobuting a format.

I felt similar to you, but I decided to buy a 2 TB HD for my Wii U and back it up. I also have the deluxe digital promotion and there are tons of sales happening on the eshop so I get 10% back even on the titles already for sale so they end up being cheaper than actually purchasing them at the store in the most case. But that's just me.

The day it goes digital is the day I'll go PC exclusive or until the console guys start offering an emulation style program  as part of their new systems. ATM it looks like it is heading that way with Sony at least. Microsoft seem to be heading down the cloud power gaming solution which will be nichie till the worlds internet speeds catchup to demand require.

In principle I am not against digital only future but it needs to be open and easy and not a pain in the arse for me to retain what I buy and use it how i want to use it.

Nintendo does not control the release dates, and its pretty common for Indies to be delayed

In fact, its pretty common nowadays for every game to be delayed somewhat

maybe they are waiting for a hardware boost from MK8?

but good question, where are them?

Indie devs would not hold off on release just to see if hardware sales pick up, they dont have the resources to wait.

Its just regular delays that happen with most indie games
