Yes. The guy retracted his statement and apologized for spreading wrong info, and cleared thing out by saying that he incorrectly thought the graphics engineer told him that the PS3 is far more powerful than the WiiU instead of the PS4.

Well, that settles that.

I wouldn't really care if this was actually true, but surely all credibility is lost when someone claims the Wii U is "not even near an Xbox 360". Opinions are opinions but some things are just blatantly incorrect, and it doesn't make you a fanboy to dismiss them.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Wii U a bigger step up from the Wii than the other two are from their predecessors? (In terms of the actual difference to the graphics, not necessarily raw power). So the "Wii 1.5" argument isn't even realy valid. "Xbox 360 1.5" (a name that's about as good as Xbox One, funnily enough) would be a more valid criticism. 

 

Edit: was replying without updating the thread, so didn't see it has been confirmed to be a mistake. Just yet another case of the old news that PS4 and Xbox One are the much more powerful consoles providing a few hyperbole-filled headlines.
