wow. looks like when GT5 hits the US and Europe, the series will have passed 50 million. i know im buying a copy.

That's impressive for 4 games. I never knew Gran Turismo was THAT big, it's bigger than Halo, MGS, hell even the 3D Mario's.

Yes, the series has had incredibly impressive sales with its games on the Playstation and PS2. Both of those systems were long-term market leaders while the PS3 has only had scattered successes and limited appeals. Gran Turismo 5 will sell well but it won't be able to come near its predecessors.

wow can you say success?

Thats got to be in the top 10 series all time. #5 will only help move it up.

I don't know about that, GT3 was released when there were only a few million PS2's out there and it went on to sell almost 15 million copies.

GT4 is almost passed 10 million, next time they update their numbers it should be passed that mark

Polyphony sure knows how to milk a franchise... and make loads of money in the process XD

Square Enix should take note... oh wait...

And yeah, it's actually the top 10 best selling franchise.

Interesting that the drop in sales from 3 to 4 was nearly exclusively due to NA.  Anyone know a particular reason for the lower sales, or did it just get lost among other games?

I will get gt5 and all other coming out

Call me a Gt fan if you will
