Forums - Gaming - VGChartz Should Estimate Digital Sales

I know VGChartz has started doing this with bundled codes but VGChartz should estimate digital sales for every game. VGChartz probably knows what percentage of games are downloaded vs retail so it would not be hard to estimate. Some games such as plants vs zombies and titanfall are more downloaded than others. What do you think? Some games that are download only would be tricky

How would they do it? Where would they get the info from?

I think they will be no where near the margin of error if they just estimate without any sources and I doubt they have the right sources for that

2/10

You should cut VGChartz some slack. Lord knows people do it for you.

The current numbers we have are already estimates, them estimating digital sales would only decrease accuracy. IMO.

You might be right about the percentage, but if they don't have that information then It's impossible to track digital sales.

No.

That is impossible, considering the numbers we got here are already estimates of retail sales.

First reaction @ seeing who the OT is: "Oh, it's you..."

Well, how would you suggest they count digital? It seems like most games have 5-15% digital sales, but how do we know which games sell 5% and which sell 15%? Instead of thinking VGC should count digital, why don't you work on a method of actually predicting those numbers?

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
