My predition was wrong. I thought the game was going to flop pretty hard and this is coming from a casual fan of the series. According to this site,it sold exactly 279,462 on all the systems,just in America. If you factor in the other regions,it sold well past the 300,000 mark. I'm shocked a game sold that much for an extended demo. I was actually considering getting this and excited about it,until I saw the angry joe review. I don't want a game that In an hour and a half. You have movies that are longer then this game,and it's pretty sad. I'd rather just wait for the main game. I'm glad I actually do research on games that I'm considering buying. Anyone else feel this way? To the grammar nazi's,how bad is oldschoolfool's latest thread. hahahahaha.

I'm really not surprised. The game itself is really fun and has a lot of replayability.

It started when Metal Gear Solid 5 sold what it did...

And also ain't the game 30 bucks anyways? not taking anything from it's accomplishments but lets not forget it is 30 bucks folks

I'm not surprised or shocked, but I guess MGS is a big name, I've never played a game in the series despite always wanting too, but It's a pretty big game. I'm 100% sure the game itself is great, and its only flaw being the length.

Have you not noticed this gen systems are selling like hotcakes + There aren't many AAA this gen games out yet?

And these sales does not include digital number which should have an high % on this game especially.

Because beside inFamous, there are no other games coming so soon.

Maybe because the game is freaking awesome. It also has like another 5 side missions to do as well as a hard mode and collectibles. Also its very open now making it a hell of a lot of fun taking different routes to the end goal.

It sold well at the "expense" of MGS name. Many purchased the game thinking as actual game but they got a demo. Many of them wont buy phantom pain because they got cheated by konami once.
