But still they are wrong. Making educated guesses and then saying "well, that wasn't *that* far away* doesn't make this site in any way credible. |
I'm aware of that. It's the same for this very site, VGC. It's all blind guesstimation, that serves fanboy wars and at the end it's good for absolutely nothing when the true numbers come out.

It's saying for the period 17 to 28 so almost two weeks. VGC has 220k for hte 1st week. 500k sounds too high, but 400k for the two weeks would be pretty reasonable. 7 million is too far from what VGC has though.
Have to say though PS4 stock availability in US has hit a new high in the last week with most if not all GameStops having them now (for reals).

This site has said Infamous had 417k retail pre-orders for US only and 1 million pre-orders WW. Posted that Sony had 500k PS4s for Japan launch. And had PS4 outsell X1 in UK in Titanfall week with Titanfall selling only 700k WW. Why are we supposed to believe them now?
Nobody is forcing anyone to believe the numbers. And why should the site be banned from VGChartz. How about we ban Vgchartz too for publishing wrong numbers often too. :P

VGChartz at least uses Japanese and UK retail trackers when bringing their estimates in. While insiderp says random numbers with no source to back it up. See my post above.
There's actually a difference between predictions and estimates.
Why would someone post numbers they know are not correct? Do they think if they post exaggerated/ made up numbers and someone believes them, it will become true?
