Why do people get so upset about this site? Speculation, calculation or just plain old lying? Who knows, but we'll never find out if we don't put them to the test over a decent period of time.

VGC is based off estimates and usually relatively close to the actual numbers. When VGC is wrong it is usually fixed.
Insiderp on the other hand has been way off and yet to show any reason to believe what they say. It appears to be more of a blog from a hardcore fan with an agenda rather than anything educated. VGC's community may not agree on everything but on this, it appears the community agrees that Insiderp is full of shit. Nobody is going to care if this site gets banned, instead i believe it will be applauded.
Of course this isn't true. Better stock and Infamous will probably get it to 300k at the most, which is still greatgreat..
I don't really mind that site, I just mind that people post news from it here while I think is wellknown by now that they are kind of shit right...?

Although I don't trust these numbers personally, certain users wanting to ban this site are a little over dramatic. Plus there are a few users who have yet to enter this thread (I know they will in time) and request a ban as well. Most likely because they're from a certain fanbase.
Regardless of credibility or not, it's not like this site is any better at times. They do adjustments in the millions several times a year. They under track/over track NPD almost every month and the pre-order data...damn, I wouldn't go there.

That mod opposes it for a very different reason than what you are implying.
And look again, sony fans, MSFT fans, and Nintendo fans are all in this together. MSFT fans are not the only ones saying insiderp is bad.
