Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I have a phenomenal gaming PC and a PS4 and I'm hardly rich.
Intel i7-8086k @ 5.1 GHz | Asus Maximus X Hero | 32GB Ballistix Sport LT 2400Mhz RAM | Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti
As a PC gamer, I will say that I've been saying this for years (in several VGChartz threads even). Also, as a PC gamer, I got The Last Remnant for $3.99 yesterday.
I am the Playstation Avenger.

I kind of agree with you. But its a perception rather than fact.
I mean if I wanted to, I can buy a better gaming PC than most people who claim they are the 'master race', using money in my bank and still have so much left over that the purchase wont impact the rest of my life.
But just because I dont want to, it doesnt mean I cant or that those who decided they want to spend on a gaming PC are somehow superior and thats whats so ironic about it... making claims about the 'master race' using a peasants thought process...
honestly that term started out as a joke, that somehow evolved into people taking it seriously.
| Anfebious said: You all heard millions of times that PC gamers are suppossed to be the master race right? Well I'm here to defy that notion and open your eyes to the truth people. The notion that there is a master race within the PC race is correct though. What do I mean by this? Well there is no "PC master race" but another kind of race within it. It's called "Rich people". If PC gaming truly was the master race then everyone who had a PC would be able to enjoy the benefits of it. But there is no such thing as that in the PC realm. That realm is reigned by money, and the one who pays the most is the guy who enjoys the most. So, to experience a "full power PC" we would have to make a great investment. That automatically takes out a big portion of the PC userbase out of it, because not everyone is willing to spend money on that and not everyone has the money to spend on that kind of thing. So you see, having a PC doesn't make you "Master Race". I have one, and it lacks audio, even league of legends runs at 15 FPS in this piece of shit. In the end the true master race in gaming is "rich people". Not only these people can afford a PC, but they can also afford multiple gaming consoles. I think it's pretty clear who is the real "master race" |
I'm an unemployed teenager, and I currently have enough money to build a PC the could max out every game in 1080p at near 60fps for the next few years. You can get a PC that can max out basically any game if you work a part time job for one month. I wouldn't necesarily call that only for rich people. Most PC gamers I know aren't al that rich either.
You're also forgetting that PC master race is very commonly used to make fun of PC elitists.

He lives in Argentina ... PC gaming is really only accessible to countries that have a lot of wealth because of subsidized distribution costs. In some countries the prices could be inflated as hell for PC parts.

A game that came out in 2008-2009 while on sale is $3.99 (it also isn't that great), Ni no Kuni came out last year and it went as low as $10. (Just to add, I didn't like Ni no Kuni either)
Squeezol's Fanclub Member? is that how it works?

It's just as fatslob says, I would have to save up 4 salaries to be able to afford a good PC, it's not so simple in underdeveloped countries.

Then this argument doesn't make any sense at all. All computer electronics are more expensive in Argentina. The PS4 is 1100 USD (approxamately).
