I love how you think you can just barf out a bunch of shit and really righteously convince yourself that since I'm not willing to argue further I surely must only be basing my opinion on bias, and not actual experience.  That's a really self-important stance to take.  Really I just don't care.

You're annoying and pretentious.  Stop talking to me.

No. You claim to have evidence, but you refuse to provide it by virtue of the fact that you don't feel like it but then you continue to reply to me without the evidence that I am requesting.

You are just getting angry for no reason, because you feel as though I am personally attacking you, which I'm not.

You don't have to reply, and I've already advised against it unless you have something to contribute to the discussion.

"That's a really self-important stance to take. " how is asking for evidence self-important?

Is proof really that it intense? Like I said before, don't be so defensive, I'm simply trying to understand your viewpoint.

Alright, absolute last reply, I swear.

Telling someone that their opinion and experience is not valid unless they present you with proof is self-important.  You are not important to me.  Your opinion is not important to me.  It's not unreasonable to believe that someone has a legitimate opinion and they just don't feel like sifting through years worth of gaming articles to satisfy one annoying dude who tells them they're wrong.

I'm not angry, and I don't think you're attacking me.  I just disagree with the notion that someone is wrong unless they give you proof.  No one owes you anything.

I'm out.  I ain't coming back to this thread.

Again, I never critizied your opinion, but without evidence then its not a valid argument, that is just a fact. My own opinion isn't mentioned anywhere within this thread, I'm just trying to understand your own and you have yet to provide any evidence at all not even one, despite the fact that I could easily think of three off the top of my head.

How do you expect me to just take your word for it?

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

I would agree if it wasn't for the double standards they have to face constantly. For example: if someone said Nintendo dropped the ball, that person would have everyone back him/her. If another person were saying the same thing about Microsoft or anyone else, that person would be constantly attacked.

Better example: people were mad at Nintendo to not include online in Super Mario 3D world. No one said anything about Knack not having online (correct me if it does have online, but I think you get my point).

That's why if Nintendo were to attack Sony or Microsoft, it would do more harm than good....despite the fact that Sony and Microsoft attacked them several times in the past.

LOL you mean like MS e3 conference where they got the biggest backlash that a company got in YEARS? double standards indeed get real. Is Knack even a MP game?

I'm glad we can always rely on you to point out double standards wherever they may appear.

It's like a breath of stale air in a fresh meadow.

Well, you also have to consider that Nintendo has been excused for literally the longest time. The worst thing about the Wii was that it didn't quell Nintendo criticism, but increased it while simultaneoulsy supressing it. Sure Nintendo made motion gaming more mainstream, but it also made gaming a fad, which comes with the negatives and the postives. But because of that Nintendo, was justified, when these issues have been apparent since the 64, add to the fact that Nintendo refuses to work with 3rd party devs interally.

Thus chances are if you defend Nintendo, you will be attacked because even if you are right it will look like you are just defending them because they are Nintendo, which was the case at the start of this Gen and the end of last gen. And thats mainly Nintendo's fault because they've done many things to the beat of their own drum and ignoring consumers.

i was watching a video by BLACKB0ND about why some Nintendo Fan(bois) on youtube were against the Nintendo Redirect; simply because It meant admitting that Nintendo was faillible. When, defending Nintendo you have to take extra effort not to look delusional like that. But even more importantly, B0ND said the reason that the Redirect was so un organized was because fans didn't even know where to begin, each and every one of them wanted different things because their where so many thing unaddressed. That right there is another reason people critize Nintendo, they have a habit of ignoring their consumerbase/fanbase. i mean look how long it took to get Earthbound localized, why does the Wii U even have region lock?

In contrast, Sony was already facing criticism before the release of the PS3:

https://auth.gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/sonys-ps3-disappointment-timeline-continued-25247543/?page=1

is the most popular

but there are 5 + of these different threads on different websites, including playstations own site.

And although I feel MS hasn't been critized enough, Last year the only real good month they had was December.

It might appear complex but if you take the whole picture into account, its really just a product of the times.

Gamecube was an Underdog that did bad,no point in kicking a dead dog.

Xbox was an underdog, I have never seen criticism from it except on this site where "so called" fans call it a failure who I will disagree with until the end of time.

360 was an underdog  that succeded, barring its hardware issues at least in the US its forgiven for a lot of its BS.

PS3 was not an underdog, and it got sufficently thrashed

Wii wasn't even an underdog, it was expected to fail, but succeded but through unconventional methods

Wii U was the Wii successor, like the ps3 it wasn't and underdog, and it is getting thrashed right now

X1 was for all intents and purposes, half dark horse half successor, its getting beaten but not to the degree of the wii u

PS4, coming off of the PS3 was an underdog, but as of now its succeeding.

If the Wii U was at 12 mill instead of 6 mil would people still critize it? Of course, but it wouldn't have as much weight as it does now.

Not to mention the differences in finacial stability of the parent companies: Sony has been on bankrupt watch for about a decade, makes leading 8 gen platform. Nintendo has enough cash reserves to survive 40+ years with no profits, fails to add online multiplayer in a game that not only is multiplayer focused but on a console that has a game network in Miiverse.

Unless the Wii U really tanks, Nintendo isn't going to changee anything, It took the Game Cube for them to make the Wii afterall.

Good post, but most of the things you said, I already knew them.

I don't pay attention to BlackB0ND, most of his videos are clickbaits depending on the trends.

I'm not against Shokio's movement, I'm just not interested in it....yet.

I don't defend Nintendo because they're Nintendo: I defend them when they are misunderstood.
