Dire times for Game Stop are coming...

They avoided the XOne DRM but can´t avoid smartphones and tablets surge.

im starting to believe you dont even bother to read anything in OP's, articles or posts, and just say what ever comes to your mind. you have been saying PS4 has no supply issues what so ever when retail shops have been saying there is. and now you say there are dire times for gamestop coming when they JUST said that PS4 and XB1 are selling SO much faster than PS360 and EVERY next gen game is BEATING expectations?

Yep...

and you do realize that gamespot sells more than Xb1 and PS4's currently right? PS3, XB360, WiiU, Vita, and 3DS havent performed all that well in the past 12 months. of course sales in general will be down now in the transition to the next gen. but PS4 and XB1 are performing better than expected, and in the coming years those will be the bread and butter for GS, and GS has had higher market share than they ever did before, as BenVTrigger just said.

also, how very nice of you to ignore the "no supply issue"claim you have been claiming since, well, forever. no response on that one

Sorry, but I disagree with your prognostic.

PS4 and Xone recent success are just delaying the future problems GS will face  in the future:

1: Every game is launched for Digital Download day 1. (can GS trade-in the Titanfall bundle codes?)

2: Amazon is preparing a move toward console games (can you buy Kindles and kindle books at GS?)

3: The PC market is forever lost to Steam, Origin and others.

Fact is, the current GS business model is dying. They have to change or die.

Good news, good news. Everyone wins.

Yes supply is much much better now. You were claiming it when it was sold out online basically throughout February.

I love the part where 1/3rd of the sales of next gen consoles and games are due to trade-ins.

Yup, those same terrible trade-ins and 2nd hand market so many were so against all those months back. I know I traded in tons of PS3 games to pay for my PS4.

See how nice it is to be able to trade back your games and consoles? It finds it's way right back into developers pockets, even if they bullshit you and say it doesn't.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)
