Forums - Sony - March 2014 has been a bad month for Sony World Wide Studios

You can even say 2014 has been pretty bad in general for Sony as a whole since they fired like over 1000 employees not too long ago and had to sell a few  buildings as well as shutdown their PC department with also taking $1 billion loss and etc

But with that being said, thinks still will be looking up for Sony with the sales of Ps4 and OR being bought by FB and anime being showcased on their own VR, they still have a good future ahead, just with some potencially major downsides

Seems to me Sony has basically said "Here's the hardware you asked for, now you have no excuses."

I still have no idea what's going on with SSM :p They seem to be expanding and downsizing at the same time.

Stupid article. Just rounding recent events together and trying to see some underlying doom. March was a great month for Sony. Trimming that fat will help in the future.

Equating minor layoffs in an industry with such a high flux of employment with doom is just silly. I'm really sure there where some layoffs and people leaving companies across the whole industry but it's more fun for the press to look at Sony's studios because it's so nice and topical.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I hope Naughty Dog, Suckerpunch, and media molecule stay all right. :/ Kind of a bad situation.

If this is what it takes to make Sony profitable then its alright.
