Forums - Sony - Trying and failing in Shadow Fall multiplayer

I really want to like this but despite being really good at Battlefield I just completely stink at Shadow Fall.

my complaints and the issues driving me very quickly away from trying to play any more:

the flow in team deathmatch feels weird. It seems to either be one of two scenarios. Everyone clumps together in a tiny room and it's way too chaotic or everyone runs off solo and spreads out as much as possible making it very easy for the enemy team to just tear though us.

some of the stages are way to busy looking. Enemies just shoot me dead constantly and I can never see anyone. Partly because I don't know he maps that well but partly because there are just too many places they can be at once and in most cases they blend in to the background. In battlefield I know what enemies are where and when. Even on the other side of the map it is not hard to see them.

enemies kill me INSTANTLY. I can't respond, take cover, run away or fire back. They pretty much drop me the nanosecond I enter their sight. It's making it hard to get any better because I just die and spawn over and over.

way too many times phantom grenades, with no apparent indicator blow me away. And grenades seem to instakill you no matter what, regardless if you are further away from them.

no one is reviving me and I'm going out of my way to revive everyone else. Everyone seems to be playing scouts.

i've played for about 4 or 5 hours and I've only seen 3 maps. Everyone votes over and over to play these same maps.

That's all I guess. Just wanted to vent. I loved Mercenary and was really good at it and I was pretty good in Killzone 3 but I just can't get the hang of this one.

If you don't like ot don't play it man. Killzone has a little learning curve.

I want to like it. I've been playing shooters since Doom, learning curve shouldn't be an issue.

Well I have none of your issues until now... the team works to attack or defense and I'm a hard guy to be killed... in some hours I played almost all maps yesterday without care which one will be choose.

Ive tried and just cant really get into it to much, I wasnt doing badly or anything, just lots of little things bug me about it. #1 being the lack of a prone position. 2nd being inconsistencies with bullet penetration, primarily thru glass. and it seems pretty much every game ends up with one team bunched up outside all the exits to the other teams spawn and all the battles take place in that 10 feet.

I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away.

"Hes the clown that makes the dark side fun.. Torgo!"

Ha.. i won my bet, but i wasnt around to gloat because im on a better forum!  See ya guys on Viz

The spawn points are set by the teams... you have to create the spawn points and it can be in any place (you need to use strategy)... most times I play I create the spawn near the objective in a safe spot (taht helps the team gain ground).

Good spawn points makes the team works better... you need to have more than one spawn point and not in the same place... key points based in the objective is so useful... you need some to fast defense too.

yea but the thing is nobody does that, and its hard to always carry a team, especially if your not pro. I find Its better played with friends then just by oneself.

As a certified beast in KZ.SF:
A) game has a bigger than usual learning curve, especially if.you haven't played previous games
B) play Warzones, the gameplay is much more streamlined, focused around objectives, people cooperate way more than in TDM, I pretty much solely play warzones, they are simply way more fun, at least imo.
C) add me on PSN, Filip_Kackiewicz, I'll show you how to own noobs (actually I'll just happily play with someone, although I'm a good player that's true )

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Really? When I play at least me and other two do this job... there are always good spawn points in the map.

Edit - I play more Warzones than TDM like eFKac said too

Yeah, I've seen one person put a spawn point out one time. And nearly as soon as he did it then it was gone again.
