Rumor: Tales of Xillia 2 due out overseas in July, collector’s edition inbound

Tales of Xillia 2 will be available in the west in July, if new rumors are to be believed.

Twitter user “flamfas” writes on Twitter today that the RPG will be hitting Europe on July 24. That information apparently comes from “The same people that correctly leaked the rumor of TOSC (Tales of Symphonia Chronicles)”. Presumably, the North American release would be taking place around the same time.

Digging a bit deeper, Spanish retailer XtraLife.es listed the “Tales of Xillia 2 Ludger Kresnik Collector’s Edition” before taking down its product page a short while ago. Google Cache shows a July 24 release date and €99.95 price point for the special package. The image above is provisional, though it looks pretty close to final from here!

As of now, Bandai Namco has only confirmed a general 2014 release window for Tales of Xillia 2 in the west.

Well this is good news! I finished Xillia a couple of days ago and I liked it but it seriosuly lacked in content (compared to other Tales of games). They say the sequel is packed with lots so I'm pretty excited for this game!

Well I will just stick to the regular edition as always for Tales but this is awesome news. Going to have quite a backlog of Tales games by years end. Graces f, Xillia, Symphonia Chronicles, Xillia 2 and Abyss 3D O_O

How about something that a person can afford, Namdai? As it stands, your LE's are bought in packs of 5 by rich people, and then resold at 1.5x+ the price. Stop. You already blocked me out of Dark Souls' 2 CE by overpricing it with that stupid figurine, don't do it again.

Too soon. I haven't finished Xillia 1 yet (WHY DID I AGREE TO PLAY IT CO-OP) and there is much too much JRPG goodness in the first half of the year I need to catch up on.

Even though Xillia 2 is possibly my most anticipated of all of them. I've heard excellent things.

July doesn't sound too bad.

But I like reasonably priced LE's dammit! Namco just needs to actually offer one, unlike what they did with DS2 and TOSC.
