Forums - Nintendo - Damn, that was satisfying. Just beat No More Heroes

Get it on day one, Sol, you won't regret it. It's the most highly stylized game I've played in a good while.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

If I had a Wii I'd get it. looks like a tight game!

The Ramones are the greatest rock band ever.

I'm saving up some cash for one of the Next Gen consoles.

Fun thing to do with this game is count the Star Wars references. Then when that bores you try to find all the Killer7 throwbacks. My favorite is Bad Girl's fridge is called "Chiller7". =P

Will do, I was eagerly anticipating getting it on this upcoming thursday but thanks to the two week delay in Europe we have to wait until March 13. Down here in Australia there hasn`t been a major title since Galaxy in November. There have been a couple of minor good games such as RE:UC and MOH:H2 but as I also just got a 360 I have to now split by gaming budget three ways (Wii, DS and 360). We also finally get Battalion Wars II this March and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn in April. This is what Aussie gamers have to deal with in regards to game release's on the Wii.

Anyway I`m personally loving the look of the cell-shaded graphics and the overall style of the game. Saving the game by sitting on the toilet is simply gold. Again I can`t wait to play this game.

No More Heroes is more of a rent and buy it if you like it sort of game. I do see the draw and have quite enjoyed my time with it, even though none of my wii owning friends would even bother to give it a try. It's easily the first good 3rd party wii game (ports don't count). For me it's a 7.5/10 . A little more polish and enviroment detail would of easily pushed it up over 8.

Spoilers:

Vagabond, I don't know if you beat bitter, but

Henry is extremely, amazingly hard to beat. Thay made his moveset really impressive, but then he has freakin Super saiyan moves, and takes at least 30 - 45 minutes if not an hour to beat, because he has at least 20 times as much energy as all the other assasins combined, he never gets stunned, and you can't perform wrestling moves on him. Get all power-ups on your beam Katana, especially the unlimited energy add-on to the Tsubaki 3. Also, the Strike-down move that you learn in exchange of Lokilov balls becomes VERY useful. Not to mention, he has a cutscene move that takes at least 54% of your energy (with all vitality powerups) I know it because he killed me with that move with 54% energy left.

Beating that is 10x more satisfying (if you haven't already)

I love No More Heroes. Easily about the best 3rd party game on the system. The Star Wars references and parodies, and humor, the bloody action (sorry Europe, you get no gore), the story, the 4th-wall breaking, and the characters and boss battles. All awesome. I hear there are over 160,000 preorders in Europe for it, which, at this point, would effectively double it's total sales. That'll be good for the possibility of a sequel.

My favorite battles: Destroyman, Henry, Jeane, and Bad Girl.

I hope that if a sequel is made that the levels are longer and more diverse and that the "in-between mission" time is meatier and more action-packed.
