Only because they've increased the cost too much, moreso than people see value in. They need to make a Kinect-less model, just like Nintendo needs to make a Gamepad-less model. Giving people more options to buy into your product is good sauce!

You be looking in the wrong place dude. Loads of places have TF bundle for $698, which makes it on par with the inFamous bundle. It isn't an accross the board price drop because some bundles are still over $800, but EB games, Noel Leeming, The Warehouse all have $698 bundles.

Anyway, price parity with PS4 isn't going to help much globally. But it will help in the markets where 360 sold better than PS3: UK, USA, Canada.

Here in japan Xbox one costs $285 more than ps4, even with the game and price drop factored in.
