Yep and that's been true so far! More games, price cuts, etc. have done nothing for the Wii U like Nintendo consoles of the past in terms of helping them outsell their predecessor.

The only thing you can argue that for is DKC:TF, NSMBU and SSB but even with SSB, imo, unlike Playstation All-Stars, there are plenty of differences such as the Stages and Single Player/Advanture Mode and obviously DKC:TF has different levels than DKC:R and etc

So, I don't think the 3ds is whats killing the wiiU although for SSB, it will hurt the sales... People buy the 3ds cause it the best games and not cause it has the "same" games as the wiiU

I agree with you, but you both make good points, because i do have some friends that feel there 3DS is good enough for quite some time now. HOWEVER to your point now titles are showing up that they for sure want on a console, like MK8, X,  etc

As we've already went over, it was an official price cut, no ifs or buts about it. I've only ever said it may aswell not be a price cut, due to it not changing much, not that it isn't a price cut at all. A similar example, even though it is clearly a console, I didn't consider the Wii U much of one at first because it had no games I was interested in. Now if you still can't understand this then there's nothing more I can do for ya.

How about you try to see the common links between Nintendo successes and failures. It's not so much about differentiation as that is obviously not the difference maker. But making a console with a dual analog controller and trying to capture hardcore gamers' interest, plus becoming a port machine for third party titles, that looks to be the recipe for disaster for Nintendo.



Yep, whenever a Nintendo console fails it's for the exact same reasons every single time, no ifs or buts about it! Sure there are obviously people content with the 3DS for their Nintendo fix considering the install base difference, but you know we'll just ignore all that!

Because I have a Wii U, I do find myself not terribly interested in 3DS because titles are pretty similar.

I don't see why the same couldn't apply for PS3 and Vita.

I think Nintendo realizes this as well which makes the Fusion rumors seem all the more likely.
