Yup. Some people payed $400 for them. Way to get burned. 

They payed for the Dev Kit, which they received. Nobody was promised the consumer version.

Oh, I know. I'm sure most of them weren't expecting to have the PC VR changed completely like it just was though.

Zuckerberg's comments make it sound like FB wants to take Oculus Rift in a social direction, with gaming just a part of that. The original Kickstarter was all about the games, and that's what people wanted to fund.

I think people are freaking over nothing. If anything this helps legitimize VR in the eyes of other rich assholes so maybe there'll be a much bigger market for it in the future. Don't like the Facebook VR? Someone else will have it.

I'm still getting my sloppy digital make-outs on when Dev Kit 2 arrives.



If Facebook still holds to what the starter campaigns promised, I don't see the problem.
