Forums - Gaming - Top 8 ways of not killing you favourite console

1. Ensure the room you game in is well ventilated.

2. Do not buy games with insanity modes or atleast make sure the room doesn't have a window

3. Do not play during a storm.

4. Do not buy an cooler it works for some people but can void your warranty.

5. Try to reduce your gaming time but im not sayin you should but this method is effective.

6. Try to clear the dust in your console, it needs to breath and the dust might cover up the holes. (this is also a tip for you pc guys!!)

7. Do not put your console in real hot areas its best to have it at normal room temperature

8. Buy a console you don't mind breaking down instead.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

One thing I saw during my days as a cop: People would just sit their consoles in the middle of the floor on the carpet! Just seeing something like that still gives me nightmares.

He and I interact all the time on the Wii U and sometimes on Twitter!  There's going to be a huge hole in his life without me.  He'll probably fill the emptiness with liquor and slutty women.  Then, he'll get liver cancer and Hepatitas Q.  He'll need a liver transplant but doctors will tell him that only one person on the planet has a compatible one--me.  When spurge comes to me with his tail between his legs, I'll scoff at him.  "Scoff!", I'll say.  Only then will he realize that it was wrong of him to put his Nes on the floor but then it will be too late.  He'll die alone a miserable shell of a man, drunken and alone.

So yeah, he'll notice.

Have always had my systems on the ground in front of my tv, carpeted room but I put a game box under each edge of the systems to raise them about 1cm off the ground and have full room for air underneath. Only systems which ever broke on me was an original 360 which red ringed (twice) and a psp which suffered a 1 foot drop onto some cloths and never turned on again. My atari 800st through to Wii/Ps360 all work 100% to this day.

Then he deserves it, and not for putting his nes on the floor, these things could survive practically everything, but for using twitter!

I've tried to vacuum out the dust out of my ps3 (on the lowest suction) - the poor thing wasn't the same afterwards. Don't trust the idiots that say it is safe.

Must be some kind of reference to The Simpsons. Homer pondered to sell one of his livers to get some money after losing a lot on an investment in pumpkins.

I have given him all three of my livers!

Fans inside a system have bearings which are designed to handle a certain speed before they will start to heat up or just shatter, If you hold a vacuum cleaner up to a fan which is off the air going through it will make it spin a hell of a lot faster than they're made to take. I know there are no fans on the underside of a ps3 but sucking air though any part of it could have spun up the ones on the back as the air had to come from somewhere in the system to be pulled out the underneath and fans design means that air going through them will make um spin.
