Maybe becuase Sony is a Japanese company. MSFT seems to be building strong internal studios, hopefully some of the released talent find jobs working on XB1.

Well, just because they're Japanese shouldn't mean they can't get fired for not releasing a single new game in almost a decade. People say that they understand why the London studios is getting lay offs, because Driveclub have been postponed quite a bit; but how about the last guardian?? That shit was announced years ago!

But yeah, hopefully the laid off folks will get jobs elsewhere, and MS is wise to scoop them up!

Sony's first party is falling apart at the seams. Santa Monica and Evolution probably won't survive the generation. Guerrilla Games and Japan studio are basically useless. All they really have left is Naughty Dog, Polyphony and Sucker Punch (which is just an AA studio at best).

Lol, fuck. I read "Sony fans" for some reason, my apologies. Still I'm pretty sure that when this happened to SSM, MS made a comment just like that, so no reason to dress them as the white knight. ;)

Yeah MS studios said that they were sorry to hear about the layoffs and that they were hiring for 343, Black Tusk and Lionhead but that's about it.
