Most of it is integrated and some are just alternative access points. I really dont see any fragmentation here.

What are you getting at?

You seem to just be listing everything that starts with "playstation." Heck wtf is stuff like ps+ doing there? It makes no sense.

Playstation 4 - newest system, all the rage
Playstation vita - current handheld, rage-inducing
Playstation Plus - a subscription service for content on their systems
Playstation Mobile (DOA? or DBA?) - a phone division for phone gaming
Playstation Now - a new service built into tvs that allows streaming of games
Playstation VR - a alternative gaming peripheral, similar to psmove or pseye
Playstation Vita TV - a home version of the vita that is significantly cheaper
Playstation Move (Never gonna give you uuuup) - more alternative controllers
Playstation original programming content malarky doohicky - media other than games


I really don't see the problem here. Here is the timeline.
PS3 moves into ps4. PS+ exists as a service to provide content to those who aren't day 1 purchasers...casuals. vita tv and psnow and psmobile exist to further entrench the casuals who only own tvs or phones into the gaming experience by providing real high quality to the masses at a very low price, hopefully pushing them into the ps4 console ownership realm at some point.
Really this is just a bunch of products for a bunch of different markets working in cohesive fashion. Lots of products for lots of markets, glued together by ps+ and other sub services.

They probably have the best position in the market right now because of all of this.

PS3 is 8 years old and PS Now/VR aren't even out yet.
