Forums - Nintendo - What 3DS franchise (ex: Animal Crossing) can be on the Wii U this year?

Which one?

Kid Icarus 19 25.33%

Steel Driver 1 1.33%

Animal Crossing 14 18.67%

Luigi Mansion 7 9.33%

Fire Emblem 13 17.33%

Mario Party 9 12.00%

Mario Sports 8 10.67%

2D Zelda 0 0%

Kirby 4 5.33%

Total:75

Nintendo could always make one of those spin off Pokemon games, not sure if they sold well on the gamecube but they were fun to play. It would defiantly attract some buyers to the Wii U but then again if anyone is going to buy a Wii U just for a spin off Pokemon game they most likely already bought one at launch. XP

Mario random sport title or Fire Emblem.

Animal Crossing and Some random Mario game

A 3DS game that would actually make a slight impact for the Wii U? Try none.

However, Steel Driver could easily come this year. The only problem is, who would care?

I havn't played any of the listed franchises so don't know about them, but Pokemon is a must.

Anything would do. Remake, port or a brand new entry would be great.

Mainline Pokemon games are handheld only, so none of those will ever happen.

Whenever I play handheld Pokemon games I am always thinking about how much better it could have been on console.

But hey there is always a first time for everything.

How much better could it be? Sure it'll have better graphics, but at this point the Pokemon themselves aren't going to look any better as they have no details like fur or scales to flesh out.

And you're right, it might happen when the heads of Gamefreak die. :L

Fire Emblem if SMT x Fire Emblem releases this year.

What I'll get: Mario Party, Mario *insert sport name here*,Animal Crossing.
What I want: Kid Icarus. The levels of epicness would be astronomical. And Paper Mario RPG.

The Wii U's best chances of the 3DS franchises have to be Fire Emblem and Kid Icarus, I'd be positive a HD port of Kid Icarus: Uprising alone would sell enough if priced right and marketed correctly as would a FE game.

This seems like there are scales. I can see imagine some HD shine and gloss going over it and some tiny textures that will be visible if zoomed in *if they make a HD model of it.* If Mario can look good with texture in 3D World, so can Pokemon.

The thing I worry about is the level grinding and long animation moves can make the game feel longer than it is... like Pokemon Colosseum. Although Exp Share on X and Y can help out. Man was that a little too generous in the game. Had my Pokemon at level 60 after the 8th gym and I didn't had to grind battles for extra level up before any gyms.

edit: forgot to add the starred text. Hopefully that took away any confusion from that sentence O_O
