Same could be said oTitanfall which is the backbone of the argument

First, this thread is about the PlayStation 4 and not the Xbox One and second, no one is complaining about that the Xbox One has not enough good AAA Games ;)

I agree that the PS4 has a lack of AAA exclusives. Other than Drive Club (the jury is still out if this'll be a AAA racer) and The Order: 1886, there are no other PS4 AAA exclusives that have been announced thus far. I'm sure we'll see more at E3, but the whole "Sony has more and better exclusives" argument just isn't stacking up for 2014 as of today. Eventually we'll get a new GoW / Uncharted / GT etc, but it looks like those are all slated for 2015 and beyond at this point.

It didnt stack up on the first years of the PS3 aswell. Yet, look at things now.

Are we making argument for right here, right now? Or what is a sensible long term expectation for the whole generation? If you make a hasty decision you might end up with a disappointing system down the line. I know thats what happened to me with the 360. First 2 years wonderful... following ones, a disappointment.

How exactly were the first 2 years of the 360 different (or in your case, better) than the rest if its life span?

Notable 360 titles in its first 2 years on the market... COD2, King Kong and PD Zero at launch... wow.

Then Oblivion, Saints Row and Gears in '06... still nothing to really write home about.

Then Forza 2, Crackdown, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Assassin's Creed, and COD4 in '07... huge lineup.  From this point on the 360 saw multiple AAA tiles year after year right on through 2013... if you didn't like what the 360 had to offer after the first 2 years, then what was the point of buying one in the first place?

First two years since i got it would correspond more to year 2 and 3. There were lots of exclusives. Blue dragon, mass effect, lost odyssey, infinite undiscovery, last remnant, star ocean, tales of vesperia, tenchu z, etc. After that, it dried up as microsoft gave up on japan and we startd to just get gears, halo and forza coupled with rushed fables.

And erm... thats exactly my point. It was disappointing afterwards. Thats why im advising other to be careful not to fall for the early trap of right here, right now.

Stopped reading after the first paragraph. Seriously!? If anyone knows this guy personally, please tell him that Adriane23 said to find a knife and fall on it. Thanks in advance.

Well It's better like this than it was with Wii U this time last year.

The biggest issue with PS4 right now is lack of games, or at least lack of games that I'm personally interested in. The fact that you have to pay for PSN just to play games online is also a sticking point for me.

Even if I had the $$$$ to buy a $400 new console right now, I wouldn't, because there is nothing on it, or anything that I'm aware coming to it anytime soon, that I want. I have never been into Uncharted, or Infamous, or God of War, etc., so aside from the fact that I suppose Resogun looks kind of neat, there really isn't anything for me. Now it's too bad Crimson Dragon weren't a PS4 exclusive instead of an Xbone one, because I love Panzer Dragoon, and that would be one game I'd want, but obviously that is not the case.

It would take several games I actually want to make me eventually buy a PS4 when it drops significantly in price. Meaning, for one, it'd be nice if The Last Guardian would EVER fucking come out at all. I was super pissed/sad that it never came out as a PS3 title, because I waited literally years for that game, being a big fan of Shadow of the Colossus. IF they ever bother making an Elder Scrolls VI, and don't go the WoW route with that franchise, I imagine it would be on PS4, and so that might also be a game I'd want. ESO looks interesting enough, at least the prospect of being able to go to various different lands is enticing, however, paying a monthly fee to play the fucking thing online, on TOP of paying Sony a monthly PSN fee just to play ANYTHING online, doesn't sit well with me at all. In fact I'd call that highway robbery.

I would also be very interested in seeing Silicon Studio do another game like 3D Dot Game Heroes, not another Zelda clone, but another retro-styled game with those same time of graphics. Then again, they could easily do that on Wii U, BUT if that type of game were PS4 exclusive, it'd be on my list. Same goes for anything new from Vanillaware that might be PS4 exclusive.

But outside of that, I have no plans of getting a PS4 for the next 2-3 years, at least, if ever. I'm perfectly happy with my Wii U, in all honesty, even if it were to be the case that all I wind up getting from it are some good Nintendo games and a bunch of cool indie titles.....frankly I'd be good with that.

In the specific case of ESO on the PS4, it looks like you don´t have to own PS Plus subscrition

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/01/playstation-plus-not-required-to-play-elder-scrolls-online-on-ps4/

Bethesda Softworks parent company Zenimax Media has confirmed that its upcoming MMO The Elder Scrolls Online won't require a PlayStation Plus subscription to be played on the PS4. Xbox One players, on the other hand, will have to pay for an Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to play the game.

Well that pretty much confirms he is:

a. An idiot

b. ignorant and underinformed

c. neither owned a PS4 nor researched about it, instead spouting out spurious details overheard from discussions like a cheap parakeat.

d. All of the above

Sony announced their mmo policy when they announced PS+ for multiplayer. Then their where multiple news articles saying that ESO has no extra subsctiption on PC and PS4, its only an XB1 problem.

PS4's problems aren't game related, if you where alive for last gens launch it would be obvious to you, instead its the lack of media features they promised at launch. Honestly, if the internet wasn't so overly depended on, the PS4 would've come with pretty much all its features like the 6th generation of consoles.

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

No one should be complaining in the first place, it's only been 4 months since launch.

Well the cross gen games he may have already played on PS3/360.

then its his fault for buying a PS4. its like me buying an XB1 and complaining i already played all its games on PC. really, if he already played the cross gen games, doesnt like infamous or killzone, doesnt like indies, doesnt like F2P games and decided he shouldnt play the newly released games on PS4 but on other platforms, its his fault.

Yup, he must of been blinded by the hype.

I really don´t, Killzone, Infamous, The Order, Knac and Driveclub are enough for the first year. The real strenght of PS4 are the free-to-play games, the tons of cool indies and the free awesome games from PSPLUS, these are real purchase justifiers man, one can get a PS4 with no games to home and still have a ton of stuff to play, really good stuff actually. Right now, you can get (if you reserved on the PSN store) the following games for free on PS4:

1- Don´t Starve.

2- Rezogun,

3 - Outlast,

4 - Blacklight (a FPS multiplayer)

5 - Warframe (A TPS multiplayer online co-op with tons of missions),

6 - Contrast (this one is out, but if you reserved before, you can still get it).

7 - DC Universe.

8 - Zen Pinball.

Not bad, not bad at all...

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.
