Playstation isn't bringin that shooter onine game for you to play ~ Those came for 3rd parties !
And you can pay indie games, while waiting for a AAA title, be it 3rd party or 1st party. So, why you complaining ? Xbox doesn't get those games to pass the time, while you're waiting on them ._.

Some of us hate indie games. ;)

Why ? Some indie games are shit. But there are some that are awsome.
Journey was a nominated GOTY. GTA was a indie game back in 2000 also ._. They just don't have a dig budget behind it, doesn't mean they suck ~
Actually, I think this last gen fight between PS and Xbox, translated in a big ''graphics'' whore fight, that makes budget for a game go bigger as fuck. They actually need to make 1M sales to make it even. That means no inovation and a stalement into the gaming industry, since no one wants to make that risk with a game, and play it safe ~ Indies, are begging to differ, and you can have a blast playing some of them ^^

I respectfully disagree; after trying dozens I can count on one hand the indie games I considered to be good. True, AAA games are also mostly bad in my view, but I'd still say AAA games are on average much better than their indie counterparts.
Indies are great and all, but I bought the PS4 to play games like Infamous, Beyond Two Souls, The Last of Us, and Uncharted. As for games like Knack, Killzone, and Resogun, they were pretty meh.
X1 already has Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Forza, Garden Warfare, and Titanfall.

Yes. I also agree with you with the AAA titles being in average more fun to play than indie titles.
Theres alot more indies games coming out = to AAA titles. And I would say 80% of indie games do suck. But theres that 20% that are actually very fun :)
The point is, without Indie support, you'll get no innovation on gaming whatsoever. Who knows, some of them will actually get that exposure and a big contract with some publisher, and make a great new IP :P

I'm not completely closed off to indie games; I'm quite looking forward to 90s Arcade Racer and FAST Racing Neo. It's just that even the good ones are just a snack, and for me at least, can't replace the full course meal that retail games represent.

I respect your opinion., and I kind of agree with you in some point. Because indies doens't have that feeling of replayability or a online community as a retail game :3
I just thought you were dismissing them, just for the sake of being indies :)

Are we making argument for right here, right now? Or what is a sensible long term expectation for the whole generation? If you make a hasty decision you might end up with a disappointing system down the line. I know thats what happened to me with the 360. First 2 years wonderful... following ones, a disappointment. |
How exactly were the first 2 years of the 360 different (or in your case, better) than the rest if its life span?
Notable 360 titles in its first 2 years on the market... COD2, King Kong and PD Zero at launch... wow.
Then Oblivion, Saints Row and Gears in '06... still nothing to really write home about.
Then Forza 2, Crackdown, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Assassin's Creed, and COD4 in '07... huge lineup. From this point on the 360 saw multiple AAA tiles year after year right on through 2013... if you didn't like what the 360 had to offer after the first 2 years, then what was the point of buying one in the first place?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
