well there you go, giving away a brand new game sure helps.
Ea must be happy, a new shooter for them that can be cod huge on its next iteration.
Interesting, TF and X1 did not slow down PS4 at all. wonder how many of these buyers are buying both.
I'm impressed by the One's numbers. i guess they won March's NPD.
Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move, and Kinect. The real story is "Does X1 sales continue higher then previous because of continued Titanfall bundles and Forza bundles". 1st week boosts are always over analyzed and expectation over exaggerated. Longer term trends are more important. As for software sales, of course this does not include digital sales. I could see total Titanfall sales over 1 million already or very very soon.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
Alright Xb1 numbers considering the TF bundle was effectively a price cut. We'll see where it settles.
Great numbers for DS2.

Except 21% isn't a majority. 79% expected a sub 90 score. Saying 21% is a majority is extreme spinning. |
All I said are these polls are useless.

| gigantor21 said: Pretty much expected all the handwaving and FUD as soon as I saw the Xone pull ahead globally, LOL. Still, to pretend these numbers aren't impressive is ridiculous considering that the Xbox One is only out in less than a third of the countries the PS4 is. Now the issue becomes whether or not it will have a long term effect; there won't be many big exclusives between now and Fall, so it'll be interesting to see whether this changes the dynamic over the next few months. To be honest, I'm still doubtful about the Xone's prospects through the rest of the year. The price/performance issue is still going to hang over MS until we get a full, proper price drop, and Titanfall did jack shit for them outside the States. Even with the supply issues, the PS4 still outsold them in Europe this week. We'll just have to see I guess. |
You forget to take into account that the X1 is in all it's major market. It may only be 13, yes, but those are the only countries where it's relevent. Launching in Tier 2 countries will add a negligible amount of consoles.
Well... Titanfall did have a bigger than expected effect in the US.

I'm pretty sure most people had higher expectations. I certainly did.

Yahh the Titanfall giveaway had a pretty big effect on hardware, more then i expected. But far lower from the halo like effect its big supporters wanted.
