Forums - Sony - We Need to Talk About the PS Vita TV! Is It Coming To The West? Is ....

Will Get One 12 27.91%

Nah, Got my HH Vita 7 16.28%

No Vita For Me 7 16.28%

Total:43

We need to talk about the PS Vita TV! Seriously!

Like Why Doesnt the West have any info on When its coming if it still is? Its no secret Vita TV bombed in Japan and shows no to little chanc of recovery there but why hold out on the market it will sell good-great in??? Is Sony thinking about not releasing it now out of Japan cuz of just its weekly sales from there?

To be fair, UK has gotten Vita Slim and west will too but that wont make a difference especially without Big Software (in terms of HW sales)!

Who doesn't want a $99 vita? Im personally missing out right now, and would love to catch up on the big screen!

So the questions if you can answer for me is.....

⇒ Will We Get The Vita TV in the West? If So, When?

⇒ How much will this help out vita sales (long term effect, not first week or 2)

⇒ Can it Recover in Japan?

⇒ Will You Be purchasing one?

Pls post, lets see some thoughts on the matter!

They're probably tinkering with it. Adding in PSNow/PS3 gaemz. Then putting it out there.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

There probably is no reason to bring it to the west. Over here, home consoles are the stronger product and they already fulfill the same role.

As for Japan, I remember some people inflating estimates for Vita TV, even when they had zero idea of what the television situation was in Japan. In my opinion, this counts more as a set-top box than a console and, as I said then, it's not going to have console numbers. If it catches on, it will be with the average consumer, which means a slow burn, mostly via word of mouth.

I have no idea what kind of expectations Sony had but I have little doubt they were much more modest than the numbers you were throwing around.

People actually care about the Vita TV? Its Basically the Vita's PsP Go

I nevr thought vita tv numbers would be huge, many others did though. I had expectations of about a baseline of 10k a week especially with all buzz going for it (not to mention it had a simultaneous release with  GE2)

Never should have named it ps vita tv. Should have called it something else and marketed it as compatibility with ps vita games and ps4 remote play.

Yes, during this gen.

A decent amount, but not that much.

⇒ Can it Recover in Japan?

No.

⇒ Will You Be purchasing one?

Most likely not.

Day 1. Plus the white DS3.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

needs PS2 games aswell as psp vita PS

What happens when you load up a game that requires the touch screen or the touch pad at the back of the vita?
