"However, individual Xbox One consoles are designed to fail after only two years."

Yeah I highly doubt that MS learned  from the RROD the console is that huge for a reason overheating will never be a problem and that is what caused most of the RROD problems.

,,, Well the PS2 sure has, lol.

Not really last new game I played for it was Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and that came out in 2006.  Also after 2006 there really wasn't much on the PS2 worth playing so it had a good 6 to 7 year run and it pretty much peaked in 2004 because that is when its best selling game came out.

Funny thing is people laughed when they said that about 360, given that Xbox only lasted 4 years. Now it is in its 9th year.

And it's exclusive game support died somewhere in 2012.

Funny I just played Fables Legends not that long ago and it came out this year if you don't own one don't talk BS about it.

How did you play Fable Legends when it's not out yet?  Also, it's an X1 game, not 360.  Did you mean Fable: The Journey?

Since he said it came out this year, he is obviously talking about fable aniversary.

I did think of that, but since we were talking about exclusives so I didn't think we would include remasters.  Otherwise the PS3 has a whole bunch of "exclusives" the past couple years.

Remastered is pretty much the same as a excluives some claimed Sly 4 as a great exclusive even though its basicly the same game as earlier games in the series and besides looking a bit better does nothing new or what hasn't been done in the first three games.

Don't get me wrong.  I have nothign against Remasters.  If you haven't played the originals, Remasters are a great option to experience those old games.  However, for this particular discussion, I would excluside Remasters as exclusives.  Otherwise, Sony's got a million of them the past couple years, from ICO/SoTC to Kingdom Hearts to Final Fantasy to God of War.

It lasted quite a bit longer for me.  The last game I played on the PS2 was either Syphon Filter or Sakura Wars in 2010.  Also, arguably one of the best games on the PS2 was God of War 2, and that was released in 2007.  There were also a bunch of really good JRPG exclusives on the PS2 that were released well after 2006.

Whatever the 360 has plenty of games people that hate on it either don't own one or never gave it a fair try and besides Stallion83 there are only a handful of other people that truely experienced all that the 360 had and has to offer since it launched.

Good for you since pretty much almost no one else played those two games you mention and my guess is just as many people played God of War 2 on the PS3 as they did on the PS2 as a matter of fact if the PS3 would have been off to a better start God of War 2 would have never been released on the PS2.

Yeah take a good look at its price pretty much proofs that no one is playing it anymore.  Also you proofed nothing with that even the orginal XBox got Madden games long after it went out of production in August of 2005.

Seriously?  Syphon Filter almost sold half a million copies.  I wouldn't say that "no one else played the game".  Also, there's no way GOW 2 would've been released on the PS3.  Development started in 2004 and it was developed to be optimized for PS2's architecture.   It was never considered to be on the PS3.

Trust me if the PS3 would have sold as much as the PS2 during its launch window they would have scratched God of War 2 for the PS2.  Also Syphon Filter: Omega Strain actually sold 760K units which still isn't a lot for a system that sold over 160 million units that is like a 360 or PS3 game selling 380K units which isn't a lot either.

Lol... proofed.

Anyways, I did actually prove my point, you were suggesting that after 2006 nothing came out for the PS2, when actually there are quite a few games that came out after that year, as was mentioned in a previous post, God of War II came out on PS2, and I'm sure quite a few people played that too...

If the PS2 wasn't still going, developers wouldn't still be making games for it... I know we'll no longer see any games, but the fact that a few games have still released 13 years after the console released, AND a year after it's been discontinued (In terms of production) shows that the PS2 has, infact, lasted a very long time.

There's no arguing about it pal.

It been dead in the country where it sold the most and where I live the US since 2011 Madden 12 and Fifa 12 where the last two games released here for it.  So again my point stands.
