,,, Well the PS2 sure has, lol.

Not really last new game I played for it was Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and that came out in 2006.  Also after 2006 there really wasn't much on the PS2 worth playing so it had a good 6 to 7 year run and it pretty much peaked in 2004 because that is when its best selling game came out.

It lasted quite a bit longer for me.  The last game I played on the PS2 was either Syphon Filter or Sakura Wars in 2010.  Also, arguably one of the best games on the PS2 was God of War 2, and that was released in 2007.  There were also a bunch of really good JRPG exclusives on the PS2 that were released well after 2006.

Good for you since pretty much almost no one else played those two games you mention and my guess is just as many people played God of War 2 on the PS3 as they did on the PS2 as a matter of fact if the PS3 would have been off to a better start God of War 2 would have never been released on the PS2.

Seriously?  Syphon Filter almost sold half a million copies.  I wouldn't say that "no one else played the game".  Also, there's no way GOW 2 would've been released on the PS3.  Development started in 2004 and it was developed to be optimized for PS2's architecture.   It was never considered to be on the PS3.
