Funny thing is people laughed when they said that about 360, given that Xbox only lasted 4 years. Now it is in its 9th year.

And it's exclusive game support died somewhere in 2012.

Funny I just played Fables Legends not that long ago and it came out this year if you don't own one don't talk BS about it.

How did you play Fable Legends when it's not out yet?  Also, it's an X1 game, not 360.  Did you mean Fable: The Journey?

Since he said it came out this year, he is obviously talking about fable aniversary.

That's great and all, but the question is will the software lineup be as robust in years 7-12 as it did in years 1-6. I bought a 360 largely because of it's great JRPG exclusives in the early years of the console (ie. Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery, etc). It was great and I loved my 360. However, the JRPG exclusives just stopped coming all of a sudden after a few years. I think Magna Carta 2 was the last semi-popular JRPG that came exclusively to the 360, and that was in 2009. My 360 has been collecting dust for the past few years outside of Halo 4 and a couple other games.

It definitely had a priority switch mid gen which was kind of annoying.  I had every system and mostly play multiplats anyway so it didnt bother me very much, but for single console owners it was probably very aggravating.

Honestly though, I dont think the x1 will be the same.  I think the change in focus all came down to don mattrick taking over the xbox division.  With him gone, I think the future of xbox is a lot brighter...

yay so we will have 12 years of visual stagnation this time and maybe more with the PS4? I mean PCs are more powerful than the current gen consoles right now.

Last gen, consoles were at least 1 or 2 years ahead of their PC competition.

And we all know what happened thanks to the long generation everything looked the same for years.

I did think of that, but since we were talking about exclusives so I didn't think we would include remasters.  Otherwise the PS3 has a whole bunch of "exclusives" the past couple years.

I actually won't be surprised that it would lasted 12 years.. clearly everything on the internet is moving to a software as service system.. so the XBone will be just a streaming device later in its life while the cloud will stream the game to you.. will happen to the PS4 too, Amazon will also have a system like that.. Nintendo will be the unknown in that field..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

My bad I meant Fable Aniversary anyway if you think there is nothing to play on the 360 take a hint from Stallion83 there is more then enough games on the 360 to play.  Its not like you need a ton of different games anyway unlocking most of the badges in Forza 4 will take over a thousand hours.

Remastered is pretty much the same as a excluives some claimed Sly 4 as a great exclusive even though its basicly the same game as earlier games in the series and besides looking a bit better does nothing new or what hasn't been done in the first three games.

I had all 3 consoles too so it's wasn't a huge deal, although I was a little disappointed that the quantity of both 1st and 3rd party exclusives on the 360 basically took a nosedive after year 4.

I hope you're right about the X1.  I have some concerns about Stephen Elop in charge of the Xbox Division.  I've heard him speak a couple times and the guy is as corporate as it comes.  His track record at Nokia also doesn't make me jump and down with joy.  I was also disappointed that Marc Whitten just left MS.  He and Phil Spencer were the two guys who were actually relatable to the gamers IMO.

Most Remastered games don't do anything new.  They just old games upscaled with prettier graphics.
