So I just got home from walmart to pick up MGS5 at midnight, the game was set on the counter and rung up. As I was about to pay the cashier said she couldn't authorize the sale without the manager's clearance. He appears from behind the wonderful bulk items at walmart, takes a look at the game, and then scans it once more. Apparently ALL Metal Gear 5 games are being called back for "Safety Issues". I asked the manager what is the safety issue? Is something wrong with the disc? He tells me he will know when he goes online, so he checks it and says I can't sell it to you for safety reasons. And just leaves me standing there without a "Sorry for your inconvenience". Don't get me started on the horrible walmart customer service. So I called my cousin in Las Vegas, he was at his walmart and guess what? Same exact problem. Recalled back for safety reasons. What the hell is going on? Can anyone share some information or insight at all?

Sounds odd. I wonder if it's a serious problem.

I have checked everywhere for answers and it seems like no one has noticed this yet. To be honest I honestly think walmart lied to my cousin and I, so they don't sell the game for a midnight release. I called ahead of time and the employee told me she will sell it to me after 12. If I find out walmart is selling it tomorrow, I'm going to flip out at them for false reasoning.

I honestly hope you are right, I've got many mixed feeling about this game. Lost a lot of respect from me on all levels

People won't get to play this expensive demo!  That makes me so happy.

As I stated above, I honestly think walmart is lying so they don't sell the game after midnight. I live in Arizona and my cousin in Nevada both walmarts gave exact same excuses. Tomorrow I'm going to contact gamestop and target, but if walmart sells it tomorrow a nice written complaint is on their way.

Aus and NZ had a one week delay, same thing happened to LoS2

Yup very odd, the reasoning for the delay was never explained. Just postponed a week. This game is almost destined for failure or David Hayter is up to something lol
