I am kind of exciting that these profile Japanese developers are breaking free .. Just wish they would do something.

Wheres Itagaki and Devil's Third
Wheres those huge plans to save Japan Inafune was harping about?

Not to be off topic but where is that game?? If its not moved to PS4/XBO it has zero chance of selling

Last month we finally heard from him in like 7 months in which he claims the game is 80% finished and they're doing balance work. He made 1 hint the game may have made the jump. I'm calling bs though. Itagaki is loud mouth and if he had something to show he would have showed it. I hope I'm wrong though.

Devil’s Third

Last time we heard from creator Tomonobu Itagaki, he said Valhalla Game Studios intended to release Devil’s Third independently in 2014. What we don’t know is who’s paying for it. Bilson does know, but wasn’t telling.

“I know a whole lot about it. It’s funny because that one there’s gonna be an announcement about soon. I don’t wanna spoil information but I can say I’m very close to Itagaki, and I’m very, very aware of Devil’s Third.

“I can’t say very much because I believe there’s an upcoming announcement beyond what he said in January that’s pretty specific and very, very exciting. Even though I’m not working for any of these guys I have to respect all the confidentialities. There’s an update coming for sure.”

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

More metroidvania, I suppose? I'm not too excited.

Last we heard from them is that they are releasing it in 2014 and the game is 80% complete. From what I read on some of the articles that were released from this they never said the platform they plan to release on. When THQ was funding the game it was on the 360/PS3/PC and I think Mobile was adding at a later date. But they never said anything else recently about there plans. But it has been rumored that Nintendo may have did a Bayonetta and decided to fund and publish the game. But this based on a french reporter in Japan saying they have another surprise in store that may create a reation like Bayonetta did but probably much less. And fans pointed towards this game.

That was disproved recently whee Itagaki said devils third was to graphic intense to run on wiiu which is why some believe he may haved went to ps4 xbo, if wiiu cant run it neither can ps360...

I hope devils third isnt ghe Japanese game ms is hyping.

I'd been wondering what had happened to people like him recently. Konami seemed like a dungeon where old videogame designers would get locked up and never allowed to work on new projects. Unless your name is Hideo Kojima.

Good luck to him. It seems like there's quite a paradigm shift in some of the bigger Japanese publishers this generation.

If by new projects you meant constant Metal Gear despite his want to move on =P

More and more open their own smaller studios. I wonder if the big developers can even find good staff in the future

I hope Sony is in talks to get a SotN style game on Vita.

Konami has become such a joke, it is just so sad. Konami has become so bad that i hope they retire Castlevania actually
