I see no problem in MGS2 scoring better than MGS3 :)

Then you are a horrible person.

what are the chances this game will end up on PS+ free download?

Would be a genius idea to put it up 2 Weeks before The Phantom Pain releases.

This again? :(

For me, MGS3 is a good game, but can be a bit boring through the first walkthrough. MGS2, however, is pure greatness from beginning to end, if we exclude the Sniping section!

Surviving Solidus' torture on European Extreme mode can go fuck itself for all eternity.

Thats all I have to say on the matter.

And so is collecting all dog tags through all difficulties. What's your point? :P

Dog tags can follow the in the footsteps of the torture.

Hunting, gathering and fixing bones in the jungle like a manly man > Poncing around as Raiden with your nuts out.

Don't forget to switch camo whenever the index goes below 40% because suddenly it seems that Big Boss emits light or something xD

Just another one of the many reasons why MGS3 is leaps and bounds ahead of any other MGS game.

I'd take no need of switching camos and face paint, and mocking Raiden, thank you very much!

Saw this one coming from a mile away. To much money for a game this short. This franchise is being run down now like Resident Evil it seems.

I kinda get where you're coming from with this (and I agree that the review system is broken in terms of games that start out horribly but get patched to improve - they're never re-reviewed so their score will always stay the same); but equally not taking it into account at all because there might be a Steam sale down the line is giving the people who are intending to buy it day 1 nothing to go on in regards to the value they're getting.

By the way, if we're talking about prices, then I'm not sure why you're suggesting that indie games don't get discounted.  They get price slashed all the time on Steam/PSN/XBL, just like retail games do.  The difference is the used game market where you can pick up last year's AAA exclusive for pennies.  And I don't really know how to factor that into this argument, to be honest :P

Agreed, but the difference is just how much bigger the price slash is for £40 games. You can have indie games going from £5 to 1.35, so something inexpensive becomes cheaper and in the second case from £40 to £3. The latter is insane to me, while the former just cool. Point is, a significant amount of sales won't be for purchased at full price, so why have something permanent as a score based on that full price.

The value factor, as I said, can be made clear in the review. "It's an 8/10 game, but with limited value, so we would recommend to wait for a price cut". Or "cons: little value for your money. Can be beaten in x hours".
