Forums - Microsoft - Titanfall Xbox 360 Runs At 30fps, Sub-720p Claims Insider

Xbox 360 version of Titanfall will render at sub-720p and output at 30fps according to insider Pete Dodd - half the frame-rate of the Xbox One version.

"Lack of news about the 360 version of Titanfall isn't all about pushing the XB1," Dodd said via the twitter account of his website Dodd Scientifics. "The 360 version is 30fps and sub-720p."

Dodd previously revealed that the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall was being developed by Bluepoint Games, weeks before the developer was confirmed by Respawn.

The Xbox 360 version has yet to be shown publicly, but comments from Respawn engineer Richard Baker yesterday suggested that the game was still being optimised for Microsoft's last-gen console - just two weeks away from launch.

"Bluepoint's developing [the Xbox 360 version] and we've mostly been hands-off, letting them make their own technical decisions," he said. "It seems pretty close [in terms of] feature parity and they're still working on getting the frame-rate up. I'm not sure about the resolution..."

Titanfall launches on Xbox One and PC today and is due to launch on Xbox 360 on March 28.

Lots of games on PS3/X360 are Sub-720p. No reason to avoid talking about it because of this.

It depends on how it looks.
I doubt it will look better than BF4 though.

30fps is no surprise, given how the XO version sometimes struggles.

I wonder if there will be many reviews of the 360 version?

Halo 4 is 30fps, 360 players dont know too much of the difference anyways

Everyone knows the Xbone version will run and look a little better. But will it run and look $500.00 better? I doubt it.

I don't care about the resolution, but that 30 FPS really sucks. I was hoping they would have majorly toned down the resolution and effects to get the game to run 60 FPS on 360. But perhaps that was too much to ask for.

I don't trust a word this troll Dodd says but anyone expecting a near Xbone level of playability and graphics/sound are kidding themselves

There's many games on the ps3 and 360 bellow 720p. It's not uncommon.

Call of Duty is one of them. Anyway there is a reason we haven't seen ANY gameplay of the 360 version. It will be crap by comparison.
