Ok of those 4, how many are niche indie titles? I'd venture to say "most if not all". Which would have little impact on high budget retail games purchasing.

It is ok to concede here, Xbox gamers last gen bought more games then PS3 gamers did. No biggie.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

er ok you may have Big budget playing time and indie playing time, but i just have time where i play games and if im playing  a game i dont go out and buy another game cos its in a retail box.

Im not saying its the only reason but there are 4 big contributing factors

Free games on Plus

PS4 having a digital upgrade program on alot of games and xbox had none

Xbox having more retail titles.

PS4 having way more digital titles

Oh yeah plus PS4 having lots of High end Free 2 play games.

More PR spinning. The attach rate between both consoles isn't much different. In just the US or the world, PS4 is a little over two software sales per console, Microsoft is under but closer to three sales per console. Wii U has 3.8 software sales per console beating out both PS4 and Xbox One owners in software sales to console sales ratio.

But as someone else has already stated, every PS+ owner has access to four PS4 games free right now, even if you don't own a PS4 and have been purchasing the games, so the consumer is getting more value out of the console without having to spend as much money. Sony should make a statement about this. It'll put Microsoft's lame PR spin to shame.
