Forums - Gaming - inFAMOUS Second Son’s Retail Version Differences Compared To E3 2013 Trailer

Wouldn't the lighting/shadows being affected due to it being a diff time of day? Not sure if it's really a downgrade. It's not like the exact same time/light to compare it too. If it was the same time of day and it looked like the 2014 then it would be a downgrade. This isn't watch dogs lol.

I can't tell if it's better or worse. Just different.

Downgradeaton confirmed, but expected. Hopefully people will keep this stuff in mind for this year's E3

bold: nah, we'll be saying the same thing in one year.

oh ooooooooooo.
Not lookingso good now is it?

What about actually gameplay? What are the graphics like outside a cutscene. You cant judge one pre-rendered image to another pre-rendered image.
Also we have to consider the picture quality of these images.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I'm gonna wait for the actual release. Looks to me like they just changed the season from summer to autumn/fall and the lighting has just made it all look totally different.

Also are these both direct feed shots? Because retail looks noticeably blurrier, like its either sub 1080p or they downgraded the AA.

So far have any game reached their unveils on graphics? Ryse also got a pretty decent downgrade from what I remember and Watch Dogs looks nowhere near its official unveil.

bolded: yes, nintendo games always look equal to or better than the reveal trailers. recent cases: TW101, Pikmin 3, mario 3d world and DKC tropical freeze. bayonetta 2 already looks better than the first trailer. mario kart 8 and X are as amazing as before.

I have to disagree with you there. Ryse got noticeable upgrades since its reveal. Imo; the retail version looks even better than what they had promised.

The current pictures don't look 1080p. I don't know if that's Dualshocker's fault or if there is another reason why the current pictures look so blurry. :/ As for the lighting; it's a different time of day so naturally the lighting would be different.

None of the pics are 1080p. Even worse, the ones from E3 are directly from Sony while the ones from now are using the Share feature of the PS4, which downgrades pics a whole lot.

I knew something wasn't right about them. Im watching a twitch stream and it looks unbelievable.

I don't know/care about graphics but I think it looks better now and a little different.

Well that's disappointing.

And i swear if someone comes in here and tries to say this is an upgrade and not a downgrade (as was the case with Ryse) then im gonna throw a fit.

This is an upgrade not a downgrade! Jk. I wish it wasn't common practive though to have a game look better in the demos than in the real thing. No surprise though I guess. I do think something needs to be said about the fact that the different times of day though. The e3 demo appears to be using a better time of day for shadow casting.
