I'd buy an Xbox one right now if it was $300 without Kinect.
Did you ever thought that MS didnt try to match PS4 power is because they didnt really know what was the real PS4 specs? Everything we heard before E3 was all rumours.
This is all such a load of crap! I've said the least out of everyone and have made the most sense.

Good one. Its funny people are now giving credit PS4 as the most powerful console. A few months ago they were completely in denial.
Kinnect costs 70 to produce. xbox one and ps4 are almost the same production price without kinnect. PS4 MIGHT be a little more.
How did MS ever think kinect was gonna work? I mean, it must have failed 50% of the time during testing as it does in real life. That alone should have made them shift their strategy. Purchasing the tech from that Israeli company bit them in the ass. Although I think they did make good money off it during x360 when they first released the kinect.
It cant beat the PS4 in sales. Its just not doable without a massive price cut. Not just matching it.
The thing is only going on because microsoft seems to be able to press american buttons.

Not sure, if they match price and push out kinect games that catch on. D4 seems like a very interesting game.

In that case, polish your crystal ball..
I'm not going on another lengthy lecture here (completely futile). Just place an original Kinect and the new Kinect side-by-side, both diassembled. Everything, and I really mean EVERYTHING, is (partly far) more expensive in the new Kinect. Production of the first run was probably in the $150 range per unit, and I highly doubt we are even close to $100 at this time.
Can we stop trying to justify the Xbox One's lack of power with these threads? The fact of the matter is that the One is architectually greatly inferior to the PS4, is selling a lot less, and is a weaker console that is $150 more than it should be due to a gimmicky peripheral. That is the fact of the matter. Now, if you want the One, by all means buy it, but these threads scream desperation, and make it seem like you are insecure about your purchase.
You're Gonna Carry That Weight.
