Vote for your favourite Shin Megami Tensei

Only played P3 FES, P3P, and P4 as of this post.

P3 is easily the better one... though I like both the P3P and FES editions equally...

I haven't played the first two, so I'm not gonna vote. Between 3 and 4, I would have to say 4 (Golden), though it's very close.

Both of them have qualities about them that I like a little more than the other. Also, 3 has a really cute android girl. Overall, though, 4 has more polish and refines some of the things I liked about 3.

Played almost all of them and the very best for me is Persona 4. Followed by Persona 3 and Persona 2 Innocent Sin. I have to beat Eternal Punishment yet but I heard it's not as good as Innocent Sin.

I just finished P3P 2 days ago actually. 3 and 4 are the only ones I have played. I looked at some youtube game play vids of the first 2 that were remade for PSP. It's not up to par with what i like battle system wise so I won't be playing those 2.
But between 3 and 4, they were quite similar which I thought was great. I prefer the Skill card and card shuffle system of P4G rather then P3P. However P3's story felt much darker which I thought was better. In the end though, overall I'm giving it to P4G.

In Persona 3 portable version they changed that and you can now control the whole party.  :)

I'm playing Persona 3 FES now. I was playing it on an emulator and gave up around 35 hours in, but then I re-bought it on PSN and have been far more enthusiastic to play it. It's pretty great, but it doesn't hold a candle to Persona 4 Golden.

Persona 4 Golden has far more variety, is far more refined and has so much more heart. It's my favourite game of all time.

Persona 2 is the best in my opinion and this poll shows how underrated it is. Those who haven't played it should do so.

I love both, P4 and P3, but P4 wins slightly because it had better characters and gameplay.

I tried to play Persona 1, but that game is not my cup of tea.
