Sweet DK is already coming down in price! Now for the US price drop.
I still have to buy MK8 on day one.

WiiU is the cheapest option. You can find one at Viaduto Santa Ifigenia, n. 60. There are three shops there where you can find a Deluxe WiiU (NSMBU + NSLU bundle) for BR $ 1.200-1.300. On Avenida Paulista, try at the StopBox gallery (Trianon subway Station), you may find there for similar prices. Buy Zombiu on MercadoLivre.com, around R$ 80,00.
As for the PS4, the cheapest I found was at the same StopBox gallery, by R$ 2.000. On Sta. Ifigenia prices range from R$ 2.300-2.700. Really pricey, huh ?
( all places are in Sao Paulo)

| WagnerPaiva said: Gaming is so easy on the rich countries, how I envy you guys, consoles for 300 dollars, games for 30, what a life =/ Here in Brazil we are paying 85 dollars for Titanfall and almos 800 dollars for a WiiU, even 20 dollars games like MGS5 GZ cost 75 dollars. What a lousy country =/ |
Sweden have the same situation: with a VAT of 25% buying Titanfall (Xbone) will cost somewhere between $84 and $96!
Wii U is $350 more or less.
But we have the possibilty to order from UK.
I honestly can't remember the last time I paid more than £35ish for a game, and it's not like I wasn't buying new releases because I'd buy big releases on launch day on the PS3 when dedicated gaming stores were selling them for £50 or over.
Which is why my old home town didn't have any dedicated gaming stores left when I moved away in September last year. So the big story to me is that you do....

Such a gorgeous collection! =D |
Any particular reason as to why you have two Lego City boxes?

I'll have to see if I can find any pics from when the collection was at it's peak. But I do have a soft spot for Nintendo, it's the gaming I grew up with :) The Vita has become my guilty pleasure from a collecting perspective right now. It's issue of "no games" makes it a perfect one for a completist thing :D add in that most the games are actually decent and I think it's my next Dreamcast :D |
I'll send my kids digging in the garage this afternoon and see what they can find for me. Sorry to hear about your dad. I couldn't even imagine losing my dad. I wouldn't have anyone to get drunk with and watch football. Pretty cool you sold of some of your collection to make his last days better. You must have had some pretty awesome stuff!
"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

Yeah, it's the Limited Edition, the other box is a cardboard outer box which also contains an exclusive Lego Man of Chase McCain, or whatever his name is :)
And while we're talking about Lego City, if you have a Wii U and haven't played this, try it!

Fair enough, here's another retailer's Wii U section for you...

This is Sainsbury's, note the chart with their Nationwide sales (not just made for that store) to see how epic their software selection is for Wii U. Nice price for Rayman Legends though, may well grab the Wii U ver even though I already have it on Vita to have a home console version ^_^
I've used grainger games quite a few times on the internet always find delivery fast and the products well packed. When I did complain about something to customer services they sorted it immediately but later realised I did actually have the missing part. Recently purchased a copy of Mario 3D World pre-owned for £24.99 and it was immaculate with even the club points thing unused.
Never gone in-store though as none in my area (South West)
